Ok just tried it out... but i don't get the point of this...so anyone can view your message/text

as i put tht passphrase "MAsterV" and put

Quote
Test Message!!

This is MAsterV from Bitcointalk...

Anyone who puts tht pass-phase can see it.. + it would be better if there was a password lock ... so only the person who locked it could edit it.. not EVERYONE...

I understand what you're saying, but it's just like a brainwallet.  You wouldn't use "MAsterV" as your passphrase for a brainwallet, because it's too short.  People who guess your passphrase would be able to steal your funds.

I'm using the same concept here.  If you want something that nobody can see/edit, then it needs to be a complex passphrase that nobody can guess.

I actually considered doing the password lock idea at one point, but then I realized some a-hole could go around locking every passphrase and ruin it for everyone.

hmmm nice concept .. oh totally understand you know... can come in handy for some stuff..

Interesting, it is simple and neat but...
for this kind of things it's all matter of confidence, the website needs some serious external audit to be trusted with our sensitive data.

At least the opinion of some crypto-expert of this forum would be a nice starting point.

Good job though!

I still find this insecure because it is a browser based meaning anybody that have access to the browser can access the hidden documents, what about the hackers that hacks via RDP and such things.

Don't take this too seriously. No one will store sensitive information on an unknown server that could be offline next month. This can be useful to broadcast a secret message to a group of people. You can use it to store some text for yourself away from conventional cloud storage sites, so national agencies can't get to it.  Cheesy

Exactly what i am saying, this is a good concept but it could get better if some lapses can be taken care of by the OP, also it should be monetized by adverts, it appear to be a bit dry.

And how to see my passphrase which i have been saved?

website contains to field. one is for password (first one from top) and second one for actual message. if you put password on top and message below and click save, you can close the broswer

next time is enough just to go to site, insert password and it will show you your message. got it?:)

O.K, it could be used as a quick data saving tools, just copy and paste the information then click save and no one can access it apart from you.

Ok I got what you are trying to do .  This can be used by people to encrypt a secret list like list of passwords. An offline javascript encrypter

Here are my sugggestions:

  • Be very clear on website that encryption / decryption is done offline like https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/
  • After user uses passphrase to encrypt , he should be given option to save/email encrypted text, so that he can decrypt it later

OP have decided to sell this website and I wonder why because the value is just increasing, why not wait to have more traffics and inbound and outbound links.

I'm selling because I don't have time to develop it more. I would prefer to hand it over to someone who can do something good with it.

If I know it's going to be in good hands, I'm willing to let it go for a very low price. Just PM me an offer if you're interested.
O.K, when will the domain and the hosting expired, I might be interested if it is not too expensive.

Domain expires in November. I'm using a shared hosting service that also hosts several other websites of mine, so you would have to sign up for your own service.
I knew you are selling this but right now I feel the only thing you are selling is the website package, I mean the template and other design in it, the domain name expires soon and it does not have hosting.
