Ignore this post, the issue has been resolved.

OP please remove.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

bitpay may be having some issues at the moment.  There have been comments of a DDoS attack.

bitpay may be having some issues at the moment.  There have been comments of a DDoS attack.

Can't wait for the real 'DDOS attack' of many GHash/sec of ASIC power being brought to bear upon unsuspecting pool owners..lol.
