Hmm..  still down for you?  Where are you accessing from?  

We have a system for managing a poll or vote, which is cheatproof.  The basic idea is that any question can receive a maximum of 21million votes, one per coin.  Yes, one can vote with a fraction of a coin as well.  The underlying system is one satoshi one vote.  Conceptually the usefullness of our service is that we let you answer the question "what does the money think about this issue".    

At the moment the service is totally free, one doesn't send coin or compromise keys in any way to play. 

Bitcoin has some interesting implications on polling / democracy systems.  If this interests you, please take a look.  There are also some interesting implications in discussion of taint vs. fungibility.

Really interesting system, this tech would work great on forums and sites that require any type of voting system, will this be open source once is launch ? I'm sure a lot of developers would like to integrate with their sites and forums.

This is great, I've heard it talked about but your version seems very simple and easy to use. I thought the idea should be simple to implement, and was wondering when we'd see it live, but I suppose every developer has been keeping it under wraps, trying to figure out how to make it into a money-maker... Crypto-anarchists *sigh*

Anyways, good on you OP... I'm not tech enough to speak to the tech, but I'm anarchist enough to speak to the value of this project. It is of absolutely the greatest value to democracy. There can be no true democracy under elected officials. Public referendum is the only system for governance that will work, and block chain voting will facilitate this. You are on to the wave of the future!

My only fear would be the powers that be... The politic-industrial-complex
They will be threatened by this more than money going digital. This sort of thing will make elected officials obsolete.
I'd be v ry careful if I were working on something like this... You could disappear over night and wake up in gitmo or worse. What happened to DPR will look like a picnic

And yes; belongs in service announcements

Thanks for your encouragement!!  I think you overstate the case for this being disruptive.  This kind of voting system could be said to cater to the rich and powerful.  There are no existing businesses that we are threatening here, like DPR did.  Nor are there any ways that one could associate our platform with any lawbreaking.  If there are such ways, please be specific and let us know.

no, what I'm saying is; it will put the elected officials out of work, or at the very least, prevent them from cheating the system like they have grown accustom to. they wont like that. the corruptible system as it exists today...easy to fix elections, crooked ballots,  they are the tools of the corrupt governing officials to stay in power and manipulate everything in their favor. I'm sure they do not want this type of voting used in their elections, it would ruin their game.

 EDIT- I LIKE this system you have presented here... but shouldn't you use testnet coins to test it? I say this because I dont know where the coins are going. looks like there are 2 questions being voted on and both have received over 21 btc worth of votes. that's over 42 btc not to mention the various other votes and the fractions of btc they have received... who keeps those btc? this part i dont understand, but i am going to look over the whitepaper, maybe i will be able to understand.

You bring up a common question when people see this service: they think we are collecting peoples coin or something.  Those votes just show that somebody who holds 21 btc used a private key to sign a statement indicating their vote.  The site holds no coin of any sort --  only a database of signatures (which in no way compromise any keys).

Thanks for your feedback and trying the embedded code.  Hopefully I'll have a better answer for you about that soon, looks like some old stuff got left in there embedded code we need to fix.  In the meantime you can link to the vote page as you have done here.    

Indeed, you have phrased THE pertinent question apparently.  I am curious to see the tradehouses for those transactions if we make it that far.

Very interesting.  In this case, the placing a vote is of course no proof that the voter will actually do what they indicate with the coin..  but I can see that people with a clear opinion one way or the other might wish to indicate such.

Some people might wish to remain "neutral", but business is business - if one needs to accept coin then a choice needs to be made which one will be used to verify payment.  Perhaps better to put such discussion in another thread.
