It's really getting screwed up on my opinion and not getting better for Bitcoin ...

Exchange appeared , now most of people who trade their Bitcoins trade them on those exchange that ask you for your ID & your life story and other real informations .

Now ... and As I can see there is the those new Debit Cards which shitload of fees monthly or yearly or for each withraw on ATM . Don't you guys think that it's kinda abused and just killing Bitcoin features one by one ... ?

Or maybe most people aren't interested on those features that they will likely never need...

Low fees is your own problem.. You don't need the debit cards and shit if you use a mobile app..

IMO Government's regulation at some extent is not bad! They are trying to curb illegal activities related to bitcoin! Such as money laundry, scams, hacks etc, which of all the masses concern about. If gov can maximumly eliminate them, the adoption rate will increase a lot!

Then what makes it different now of the other payment methods such as Paypal , Skrill , Neteller , Payoneer etc ...
I guess they took all Bitcoin had , They would even limit Bitcoin adresses if they could ... thank god they can't for the moment .

There are many places where we can trade bitcoin without giving name or ID! Such as localbitcoin or this forum etc. even on some decentralized exchanges. What you can think out is what we can do! This is the beauty of decentralized world!

Yes, I always though tit is strange to have a bitcoin card.  It is so easy to not need one, why pay the extra money?  But like you said it is a personal problem, I will stick to low cost wallet transactions myself Smiley

Tons of localbitcoin sellers are asking for credentials such as ID and payment bill proof and almost all ask for name. I cant really think of ways to totally anonymously buy BTC beyond meeting up with a person thought localbitcoins in real life, which is well annoying.
I guess you could try to buy from someone here using a trusted escrow.

i agree with a little bit of government's regulation.
because without any supervision and rules there is going to be all kinds of illegal activities done by using bitcoin by many different businesses. we are going to see another huge operation like silkroad, plus all the money laundering and ... that chennan mentioned is going to take place in a huge scale.
if this happens in the end bitcoin will be seen as the money for criminals and people would stay away.

My experience in localbitcoins is not that good tbh, because the buyer that I sold my coins to asked for several valid IDs and different personal information to prove that I am not a bogus seller. Well I ended up complying to his terms to complete the deal because I badly need some money back then, but if I have the choice, I would probably avoid giving my credentials to other people. In selling bitcoins here in this forum, you need to find a trusted escrow to seal a deal (which isn't very hard at all.)

I haven't used it in over 18 months but sellers do seem to be a lot more anal the last time I checked. In 2013 only one person asked for anything now it's almost everyone. It's one thing to hand over that info to a vaguely accountable company, quite another to some random. I'm not sure I'd use it again.

I think you see it too black. What you describe aren't the features of bitcoin that are lost. Bitcoin itself still has these features. Onle because bitcoin isn't yet adopted that far you have the need for exchanges. And when people give up their identity their it's up to them. But you still can use bitcoin anonymous.

And low fees? I practically always send transactions with no or 0.00001BTC fees. They reach the same speed than others.

So you can say the bitcoin periphery is so but not bitcoin itself.

The biggest fact is the Human... Some sites will chose their own rules of the game, if you don't like that rules you can stay away from their services.

For example, when https://www.poloniex.com/ change the rules and ask for personal information, was the users decision if still with them, i don't feel god about give that info and change to https://shapeshift.io/

More and more sellers are starting to up their credential requirement levels which defeat the purposes of not using a exchange. Actually I would rather use a exchange where no particular person knows your details beyond the exchange owners. You can never know who you are dealing with in Localbitcoins, what if it's a bait?
You could argue an entire exchange it's a bait, but it's less likely.

You can't blame Bitcoin nor the seller. I would definitely sell you some for cash when I'm with my security details.

The thread is missing one crucial point. It is not anonymous when you try to using it so it has a connection to fiat. You can't blame Bitcoin for this.
I'm pretty sure that there are services that do not require credentials or services that only transact with Bitcoin.

What I'm also failing to understand is the third point. Aren't fees still low enough?

Now ... and As I can see there is the those new Debit Cards which shitload of fees monthly or yearly or for each withraw on ATM . Don't you guys think that it's kinda abused and just killing Bitcoin features one by one ... ?
This isn't related to the Bitcoin protocol itself. Nobody is forcing you to use debit cards with fees. You can use Bitcoin QT or some other lightweight client.

IMO every people have their own option to choose to give some ID or not. Eventhough some exchange or other company provide more benefit for someone who want to give their ID, I'm still decide to keep close my personal ID.

And about fee, I'm understand it require more fee but at least their fee still not higher than our local currency.

To be clear the only things that are diminishing bitcoin great features are satellite services. It is the only reason we don't have anonymity, low fees are gone (while using some ridiculous bitcoin debit cards).
Confirmation Times or as Op referring 'Fast transactions' are inane bitcoin feature you can't lower it anymore (without risk to bitcoin security) and it can't be changed by any satellite service.
