Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Dividend: Once a month on the first sunday, the commissioned profit will be dividended out via mgwBTC dividend. You will receive a mgwBTC transaction to your NXT account.
Not sure why you are making such complicated ways for investor . Too many steps to do and I believe not everyone is familiar with this NXT asset. Also im sure im not the only one that dont understand what mgwBTC is. Plus that not everyone will want a divident pay out because some people like to keep on investing with their profit as well

PS: I have ran this exact same investment scheme for 2 months successfully on the other site of mine. Thats too much things to swallow just for this investment feature. You ran the NXT tothemoon investment successfully because people love and understand how it works but here, most people love bitcoin more and Im sure many people dont understand a thing here. Im not really understand how this nxt investment thing work but will there be a kelly option for 10 or 100x ?

Hello guys,I am now opening the investment into the Bankroll of btc.tothemoon.me. After the successful two month run of the nxt.tothemoon.me bankroll investment, it is now possible to invest into the Bankroll of the btc.tothemoon.me site. The bankroll will be managed via assets on the NXT asset exchange. Its a decentralized, trustless token exchange with automatic order matching. Its very easy to use and the full reference client can be downloaded here: https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-5-12/ or you can use a webservice like secureae.com. If you have questions, just post them in this thread, so everyone can see the answer directly. Terms of the investment: Invest in the House Bankroll of btc.tothemoon.meASSET ID: 9515586733978661635Asset name: BTCBR Website: http://btc.tothemoon.meGoal: Raise funds that will be used as the house bankroll. I want to raise a bankroll over 1000 BTC, thus attracting big BTC whales. Starting Value: 1 BTC / Asset Profit Split: 60%/40% (40% will be used to maintain the site and pay devs) Profit Calculation: Weekly on Sunday. The promotion payout will be deducted from the profit. The assetcount will be adjusted, the profit will be adjusted, the commission will be applied. Commission: The 40% commission is only applicable, if the high watermark was reached. High watermark means, that only profits that have not yet been commissioned on count to it. Example: if the house wins 10 BTC in the first period, it has to pay 3 BTC commission. If in the next period the bankroll loses 5 BTC, the profit watermark stays at 10 BTC and the profits go to 5 BTC. Now the next 5 BTC that get won are not commissioned! Dividend: Once a month on the first sunday, the commissioned profit will be dividended out via mgwBTC dividend. You will receive a mgwBTC transaction to your NXT account. Disclaimer: THE RULES OF THIS ASSET:- BTCBR can be dissolved via buyback at NAV at any time. - No timeframe is guaranteed for this offering. It could stop tomorrow - Investing in the bankroll may expose you to certain risks, like volatility risk, loss of funds or other non-forseeable events. Asset description text: This asset represents the whole bankroll of btc.tothemoon.me. For more information visit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1105519.0 or https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=9517.0 How to invest:Variant A: PM me the amount you want to invest + your NXT address, I will send you a deposit address, you will have to send the BTC within 24 hours then. For 1 BTC you get 1 asset. Variant B:Send mgwBTC to this account: NXT-2DRD-6HVM-C3XX-BDRBF. You will get 1 asset for 1 mgwBTC. ( Variant C: Later you will be able to buy the asset directly on the asset exchange, but not at start.) PS: The funds go directly to coldstorage and are kept on a secure TREZOR setup. I feel like it would be an a lot easier method of taking commision if you simple took a percentage of the wagered amount.(in the case of 40% commision that would be 0,4%) This would mean you would not have to take any risk(besides losing your own investment if you do have one). Furthermore I don't think 40% commision is fair or will attract a noteable amount of investors since larger sites with much more bitcoin wagered take commisions of 10-25%. 25% would be the absolute maximum if you want to attract investors but maybe time will prove me wrong.

I think taking a part of the wagered amount is even more unfavourable for the investors. Also its an equilibrium, if no people invest at this profit split, then the current investors will have even more profit of the mass of small bets. And if I have to I will fund the whole bankroll myself Mathematically in the long run taking part of the wagered amount will be the same for investors since you're simply taking away your split of the expected profit, though to the investors it may look like more and possibly demotivate some from investing. And you're right, investors will make more per bitcoin wagered since their split of the bankroll will be bigger. This will be less of a point when more investors start joining though so with this logic you would have to lower the commision once enough investors have joined. Generally I would say play around with it and see what turns out to be the best for you. Even the old invest dice sites are still playing around with their investment systems.

How could people divest?
I think it is a really difficult way to invest, trading with nxt add it difficulty

Hey man,I would like to invest in your site, but the method that you offer is really complicated Same, I need to devote an hour to figure this out and research a bit more before I feel comfortable investing. Don't like investing without fully knowing what I'm diving into. I probably will invest though, just need to get around to reading up on it. Don't let a learning curve stop you guys from investing though.

Maybe if you have investments at smaller amount than 1BTC or to use other cryptos as options would be a good idea as 1BTC is a lot to chunk in maybe increments of 0.1BTC would be better.

Someone can always buy shares and then break them into smaller parts and release a separate stock. Sort of like how there were AM1 and AM100 shares. I'd do it myself but I find the usage of NXT extremely confusing.

Payout time!!!!Paid the last weeks cashback promotion winnings! Remember if you wager so much in one week, that you are in the top 15, you get a % of your wager amount back! There is no cap on how much I pay out! Also it runs EVERY week! Nicely done! Keep up the good work. Cheers

First Comission!
Our Profit: 18197181 Bits Free Bits distributed: 920222 Bits (this is all the promotions and faucet) Net Profit = 17276959 Bits
Commission (40%) = 6910783,6 Bits
High watermark for next commission = 18197181 Bits
How many BTC were invested, or, more importantly, what was the ROI on this commission?

Nice ROI I must say. I would like to know when the Rocket is being exploded ? Is it an autogenerated random number ?

This is absolutely a good investment if the cut is not 40 % ! and also there is a cut for the free bits. Doesnt that the house will always pay for the faucet and freebits? 40 % for the house is a lot and you take the cut from free bits as well , thats means you are running the house with no risk at all

I like this idea, and I like the high minimum investment - it makes it so smaller investors will be less likely to invest and dilute the bankroll.
I will probably invest in the next few days.

Totally wrong on this, you cant based a 2 weeks uptime for the projection of the yearly performance. You should note that the thing of investing in a gambling site is risky in nature as a whale might be able to drain some of the bankroll and thus leaving zero profit for the two weeks period but given the high house edge, the house will survive in long term though Any investment, small or big, will only increase the bankroll... is not it ?
Yes.
A quick question, will there be still a cut to the investor if by any chance there is zero profit for the two weeks period?

There will be less people who will end up investing, thus whatever a person who has a lot of money to invest will have a larger share of the bankroll, and thus a larger return (EV)

The calculation will be the same no matter how many micro investor there are because in the end everyone will share the profit or the loss of the house which is proportional to his stake of the bankroll (assuming it is 1x kelly for everyone). The reason for not accepting any micro investor could be that the share of profit seem to be calculated manually now (?) ( I could be wrong on this ) unlike the other sites therefore having micro investor isnt feasible for the moment

( I could be wrong on this ) unlike the other sites therefore having micro investor isnt feasible for the moment The calculation will be the same, however people who would otherwise invest less then 1 BTC would not invest at all, and I would speculate that those people would make up a large share of the bankroll. Also you can potentially sell less then 1 BTC worth of the bankroll on the NXT AE, potentially for more then the portion of the bankroll you are selling (potentially sell .5 BTC worth of bankroll for .51 or more)

That's a 200% ROI in a year wow!
It's obvious, just projecting data to make some comparisons

(Variant C: Later you will be able to buy the asset directly on the asset exchange, but not at start.)
I would speculate that those people would make up a large share of the bankroll. Indeed disencouraging micro investor will make up a larger share of the bankroll however on the same that means it bear more risk as well It's obvious, just projecting data to make some comparisons
No, you are not projecting anything because whatever number that you come up with is based on assumption and speculation therefore that is a bogus data. If you want to make a projection then you should start from the main factor which is house edge. Take the data of the profit gained and Take the house edge as well as the wagered data per 2 weeks period and make a comparison to the profit gained theoritically

I would think that if earnings have been accused, but not yet paid, then the value of the shares should be greater. I am not following the double dip theory. TwinWinNerD is active in the NXT community, and active with NXT and I suspect that one side goal of this project is to increase the adoption of NXT by bitcoin users. Things that preventing me from investing would be the nasty commission of 40 % and now there is a cut from faucet and promotions but I would lay down low for a fraction of the asset just for the sake of tryout if it tradeable later on but the question will be when? I agree the 40% is steep, and maybe it will be lowered in the future (this is obviously speculation) (Variant C: Later you will be able to buy the asset directly on the asset exchange, but not at start.)
I would speculate that those people would make up a large share of the bankroll. Indeed disencouraging micro investor will make up a larger share of the bankroll however on the same that means it bear more risk as well Correct, however over the long term, assuming there are not security breaches and no theft, then the EV of a casino bankroll investment is positive.

I am not following the double dip theory. NXT asset is tradeable ( isnt it? )which means if the volume pick up in the future and profit keep on increasing then there is a chance that the value of the shares will be higher which means if you purchase a share for 1 BTC right now and the value increase by 1.1 BTC in 3 months timeframe (which is 6 x 2 weeks period ) then you are getting a share of profit while your initial capital has raised by 0.1 BTC I will try it, maybe. 1 BTC is no problem but how does it work? I invest and when someone win big I lose / when someone lose big I win?
How does what work? isnt it clear in the OP already? Like every other gambling sites works, the net profit ( there is a cut for promotions and faucet expenses as well ) of the house within 2 weeks period will be splitted among the share holder . Every lost is counted as a profit for the site

Can someone please explain how this NXT share buying works (or confirm if I'm getting this right)? Based on what I can see, we:
1) Download the wallet or use a Web wallet 2) Search for the Asset ID 3) See its price (30k NXT the last time I looked) 4) Buy 30k NXT on an exchange 5) Transfer it to the wallet 6) Use it to purchase the asset
Is this correct? If so, is there a way with less steps (like a way to buy directly with BTC)?
And how are dividends paid? By just adding NXT to our accounts?

1. Download the wallet or use a Web wallet and create a NXT passphrase 2. PM TwinWinNerD how much you want to invest and your NXT address 3. You get a BTC deposit address and the amount of BTCBR shares you will get 4. You pay the BTC and receive the assets to you NXT accout. Dividends are either paid in mgwBTC (a BTC token you can cashout any time easily with the NXT client to BTC) or in more assets, because most people tell me that they just want to reinvest each dividend. Ohhh, very cool. This also helps explain why the client I looked at only showed 5 BTCBR shares for sale, :p. Since you can pay dividends in more shares, that means fractional ownership is also possible?

Since you can pay dividends in more shares, that means fractional ownership is also possible? yes, down to 8 digits, and dividends are automatically calculated too, so even if you only hold 0.001 BTC of it, you still get your fair share. PS: the offer on the AE is not from me, as I said this market is only evolving, and the asset will never be directly sold there. Awesome! Thanks for the answers. I'm likely going to end up getting a share soon. You're making this a LOT easier than I thought it'd be (which is why I didn't look into it before -- for whatever reason, I find the decentralized exchanges really confusing in their current state. As an example, on the Web wallet I'm using, your asset ID for NXT doesn't even show up).

Hmm... the wallet I was using is MyNXT.info. Tried inputting the passphrase from that into SecureAE and it ended up with a separate address/no balance. The mynxt.info is a login passphrase, no NXT brainwallet. Look if you can Export the "private key" or something the like Ahhh, I get ya. I don't have much in the wallet so what I'm going to do is just start a new one through SecureAE and start using that instead, just since it's easier and if I ever want to use the reference client, it's still a possibility even if SecureAE goes down.

Hi Twin. I want mgwbtc. Thanks It would be easier for me if I can send you BTCBR and you send it back to the issuer account to redeem for 1 to 1 mgwBTC. If thats possible for you? Yes, it is ok. I will pm after sending you the BTCBR. Thanks

advertise on The gambling website or a contest to write an article on the blog / website Agreed, or advertise on faucet sites/networks as well. I don't think faucet sites are going to bring the kind of traffic that we are looking for, they will bring traffic from people looking to use the faucet which will only cut into our profits. I would say that a signature campaign or forum advertising would likely be the most effective way to advertise.

Also, Faucets are there for little more than to get advertising $s so I think you could get many eyes with not a lot of money. If you think the faucet in the site is being abused, just change the rules.

I am on the "forum advertising" auction right now. Do you guys know who can design a good ad code?
It would probably be a good idea to open a thread in services soliciting forum ad codes. You will probably also want to contact theymos to get the exact requirements for the forum ads as the requirements are somewhat additional to what is posted in the auction thread.

You can expand your advertising to the signature campaigns as well, along side forum auction advertisement. Maybe it would be the best idea to try out both and compare results at certain time frames. Medusa and rosinpl are first one that cross my mind when it comes to quality signature ads, and maybe they can offer design for forum auction banners as well.

Also the TAF program is in the works, so then you can help me directly refer players Wondering how this affected the site's profit so far this month (I guess over the past few days or week) for both NXT/BTC. So 4760000 bits i've been watching somone use martingale on bustabit for the last fewdays now he started at 0.514 btc when i started watching him and he's managed to make it all the way upto 2.292 btc! his username is https://www.bustabit.com/user/Kgsin he had a fairly big losing streak at one point where he dropped from 1.5 btc all the way to 0.5 and somehow managed to get lucky enough to win it all back with his lucky ass martingale! like rate now he's on a big losing streak but will win it back watch over the course of the next 30mins! he will be above 2.35 haha

Indeed, but if your expected "bust-time" is 2 weeks of constant playing, and you have a streak of good luck, you could increase that time until bust for months!
I ran multiple scenarios and all busted, lol. Even going as far as analyzing results of thousands of busts for information, but ran into a big losing streak (with a very low probability) that had never occurred before. That said, it was enough to quit trying to beat the system (after building up to 5x the original amount), :p.

If one truly believes in the mathematics behind the game, then you know you can't longterm beat it. If you find an exploit though, you can milk the bank until infinitum The interesting thing about gambling is that the variance is huuuuge, so if you play normally or risky, you can either lose very fast or win very big. Thats what I personally like about it. I've been able to mathematically exploit a lot of sites to lower the house edge, but house edge, despite being smaller, still always wins long-term, . It's a big reason why I invest in the sites and just play smaller amounts (i.e., with TTM I started with 10 mBTC, built to 18, cashed out the original 10 and played the rest until I busted almost a week later).

The houseedge is not affected by the bonus. You can "offset" the houseedge by stealing other players bonus parts though. The house basically doesn't care what players do against each other. Yea, so for you, the effective house edge will be negative if you can get the bonus enough, but the house will overall have a positive edge for the bankroll across all players

What about Bankroll (16159458497017130222) holders?
The NXT tothemoon site has won a big amount but is still not recovered enough to reach the watermark (amount of last dividend). So it the site wins >90k this month, there will be a dividend again too. Regards What's the actual watermark for that (so that we can follow it as the month goes along and see when/if it boosts above)?

So about 515000 NXT right now. Regards Awesome, thanks! Any chance of having a /stats page update, to show like... "Profit this month (after faucet distribution)?" This would be a lot easier to track. I do things a bit in a spreadsheet just to keep up, but it would really cut down on a lot of work and help show investors where we stand on a monthly basis instead of having to run manual calculations each time.

Well, the site lost 0.6 BTC since my last post, which makes the dividend redundant....
If the site wins back some until tomorrow, I will pay then.
That sucks. I have a question, too, about how one would go about divesting when it's time... I know that we send the assets back to you, but how is the refund calculated? Is one asset always worth 1 BTC?

Really enjoy the neat rocket ship graphics here Would be cool to see a whole bunch of different animations for this site and could think of a few good ones myself! Maybe you should have a contest for an animation here sometime, that would be fun especially if a prize for winning was in order (as well as being featured on the site)

Thank you for answering. Also I am in regular contact with the Admin of Bustabit, and asked him before i forked his project. So everything is cool! Wasn't aware you had asked Ryan prior (open source means you really didn't have to) but he's an awesome guy. I like him, . And it looks like the clone doesn't steal his players or anything, so it's a win-win.

Does anyone else think the alternate design contest idea was good or am I alone on this one? I think it would be great to see all the different user's ideas for the sites "rocket" animation maybe hold a monthly contest to decide what this months animation will be. If anything it'll keep users coming back just outta curiousity win - win

Ahh, got you. And just to confirm, when you gave the watermark, that's including the faucet, correct? Like is this formula the right one to use? CurrentProfit - FreeBits - WaterMark = Dividend If so, we're down almost 20 BTC,

Was it abused or reported when someone found it? Hacker tooks funds from hot wallet from what I can gather 3Keyzw8EVC7dzhGAWCvrQ2JSTnKcxgSunh is the hotwallet address and there is currently ~1.11 BTC in the hot wallet. Unless there is another hot wallet address somewhere, it does not appear that there were large losses. Actually, it looks like ~1.8 BTC was withdrawn to Cubits.com, but I am not sure if twin is affiliated with that site or not.

I'll post an update tomorrow. Just to clear things up quickly: The hacker stole Bitcoin from the Hotwallet by depositing non-existing BTC. I analysed all the player deposits and no player had any such fake deposits. This only happend on the BTC site, so NXT site is completely unaffected anyway.
How were they able to deposit fake BTC? Is this something that would be easily fixable?

Short version: we used block.io as a callback provider. Someone bruteforced the deposit password and our system trusted this source (should have double checked) Really interesting stuff! I wouldn't even know where to start when exploiting things like that. As irritated as I get when people do hacks like this, there's also a certain level of respect I have for their ability to find loopholes and such. That said, I wish they'd leave TTM (and my investments!) alone, :p.

The site will not go up in the next few days, if at all. So please PM me if you had funds on the site. For the investors: I will calculate the NAV and process all withdrawals starting from saturday when I am back at home.
That is too bad. ToTheMoon was a really fun game and I think it had a lot of potential. Do you have an estimate of the losses from the hacker and the losses from the whales that took the site profile down a bit? Can you publish the txid's of the withdrawals that were based on fake deposits?

Investors will be refunded at the NAV, and I will eat the losses from the hack. I don't think I have the time and resources to keep the site running for now. especially considering the possibility of another hack. PM sent! Hopefully the NAV is looking good, . Are you taking down the NXT one as well, or just the BTC?

The profit of the site was at 5.627116 BTC with 7.507149 BTC in free bits distributed. THe profit of the nxt site was -175907.39 NXT and 115754.02 NXT in free NXT distributed. Is the 5.627 site profit reflective of the losses due to the hacker? Do you know what the total bankroll was?

That is a Cubits.com deposit address, and it appears to be some kind of exchange. If he has used that address for other purposes, then more information may be able to be figured out about him. It might be helpful to contact cuebits.com to see if they can provide any information on the person behind that deposit address

I wrote the company.
I hope they are willing to help deal with this problem. I know in the past a few pools were nice enough to reject transactions that were related to scammers (and while I disagree with centralization, I think having a way to police ourselves is paramount).

It might be helpful to contact cuebits.com to see if they can provide any information on the person behind that deposit address If it indeed an address of Cubits (all cubits addresses does indeed start with a 3), you might be able to track what happened to the bitcoins at least for a while if you successfully contact all those sites the hacker used to well.. tumble the bitcoins. It is a payment gateway, and AFAIK it is used in many sites and I believe even is some casinos etc. The hacker then sent it to a cubits address of say a site like betchain, got transferred to the merchant site, and the hacker most probably withdrew from the merchant site (to another site with an anonymous account?). Edit: This guy has been doing this from 2015-09-29 How exactly did this happen? Isn't it possible to know whether there is some problem by simple tallying everything (deposits - total player lost [faucet, bonus, rake, wins,..] - withdrawal = player balance on site and checking balances in all addresses of the site tallies with what it should be - which is more important.)? Or do a weekly audit or something? I lost about 30-35 BTC to the hacker.
why is it an estimate?

Really disappointed after reading what happened, this really sucks; that's the main reason for which most people look with suspicion at bitcoin: "skilled" people manage to steal funds to other. Really sad.
On the other hand hats off for people like TwinWinNerD: spent money, time and energy in his project and, despite shit happened, is honouring all his commitments. Hope Cubits (or whatever service the thief used) administrators will do everything is in theuir possibility to help him having his funds back and to reveal the identity of the thief.

Just received my bankroll from Twin. Really top guy refunding his players after getting over screwed over so bad, good luck with finding the scumbag hacker bud. If you end up starting the site up again let me know I will be one of the first on! +1 to this. Have there been any updates in regards to finding more information on who did this yet?
