What's an update without some photos?

Batch three Refund
Understandably, batch three has been overdue for a few weeks, whilst shipping is due to start Monday, and finish within 2 weeks. Those who do not wish to wait can fill out the form for a refund, please note the deadline for these refunds is before the 14th, once we start shipping we will not be honoring any refunds that gets posted.

Finally caught up
Scaling up production has been problematic for us in the past, but today? No more. The speed which we finished shipping batch #2 which took about 3 weeks (aside from custom issues with Serbia and Germany), batch #3 will be no different, and will be even faster. We modified the module upgrade design so it'll fit both generation 1 and generation 2 case setups, the chips are being moved to shanghai so they may begin to deliver by mid-july, trade-in list has been acquired and cleaned up. ( I hope everyone already have an account on the store. ) The Avalon team are very excited to get these things over with so we may get back to engineering.

In Summary

    Trade-in emails are going out at the same time as this newsletter.
    The chips is scheduled to start delivering mid-july in order which they were purchased.
    Batch three starts shipping mid-july, expected to finish within 2 weeks as there is no order issues unlike batch #2
    Part of batch #3 will have different design as we continue to improve our unit.
    Once batch three starts shipping and no problem arises, we will begin taking orders for upgrade modules.
    upgrade modules will be in-stock as there is no pre-order, delivery time frame 3-5 days.
    Next generation chip is in the works, 55nm will not be very different physically for backward compatibility.
    We will make announcement at least 2 month prior of 55nm release so those who purchase our generation one chip will not be in the dark.

Точно, я сам его отправил (фух). Его наверно стоило сохранить когда оплачивали.
Но мне кстати, не пришло письму по поводу возврата, хотя у меня тикет открыт.

О МАЙ ГАД, рефунд пошел!
Сделал 3 вещи: тикет открыл 20 дней назад, заполнил гугловскую форму форму, и на станице bitpay нажал refund.
Только что упало 23,5 монеты, видимо частями кидают, жду остальное.
Апдейт1: еще 19 пришло.
Апдейт2: 2*18
  все 80 btc вернулись.

AVALON DEVICES

Currently all known Avalon devices come with their own operating system and
a preinstalled version of cgminer as part of the flash firmware, based on the
most current cgminer version so no configuration should be necessary. It is
possible to plug a USB cable from a PC into the Avalon device and mine using
cgminer as per any other device. It will autodetect and hotplug using default
options. You can customise the avalon behaviour by using the avalon-options
command, and adjust its fan control-temperature relationship with avalon-temp.
By default the avalon will also cut off when its temperature reaches 60
degrees.

Avalon commands:

--avalon-auto Adjust avalon overclock frequency dynamically for best hashrate
--avalon-cutoff <arg> Set avalon overheat cut off temperature (default: 60)
--avalon-fan <arg> Set fanspeed percentage for avalon, single value or range (default: 20-100)
--avalon-freq <arg> Set frequency range for avalon-auto, single value or range
--avalon-options <arg> Set avalon options baud:miners:asic:timeout:freq
--avalon-temp <arg> Set avalon target temperature (default: 50)


Avalon auto will enable dynamic overclocking gradually increasing and
decreasing the frequency till the highest hashrate that keeps hardware errors
under 2% is achieved. This WILL run your avalon beyond its normal specification
so the usual warnings apply. When avalon-auto is enabled, the avalon-options
for frequency and timeout are used as the starting point only.

eg:
--avalon-fan 50
--avalon-fan 40-80

By default the avalon fans will be adjusted to maintain a target temperature
over a range from 20 to 100% fanspeed. avalon-fan allows you to limit the
range of fanspeeds to a single value or a range of values.

eg:
--avalon-freq 300-350

In combination with the avalon-auto command, the avalon-freq command allows you
to limit the range of frequencies which auto will adjust to.

eg:
--avalon-temp 55

This will adjust fanspeed to keep the temperature at or slightly below 55.
If you wish the fans to run at maximum speed, setting the target temperature
very low such as 0 will achieve this. This option can be added to the "More
options" entry in the web interface if you do not have a direct way of setting
it.

eg:
--avalon-cutoff 65

This will cut off the avalon should it get up to 65 degrees and will then
re-enable it when it gets to the target temperature as specified by avalon-temp.

Ты возврат делал на тот же адрес с которого платил или на другой?

На другой, что странно кстати, зная только адрес битпей, мыло, номер заказа можно вывести монеты на любой адрес

Спасибо! подумал сначала - надо комп по USB подключать, а потом вогнал в последнее поле "--avalon-auto" , в конфигурации там где "Мore options" - и работает. При температуре 30 за бортом - плавно понижает частоту до 330 - ночью, надеюсь, разгонится..

Сегодня перебрал авалоны, собрал четырехмодульные машины с питанием от OCZ 1250W (вызвано это было тем, что стоковые БП совершенно не держат разгон, и один даже сгорел в конце концов в результате экспериментов).
Стало гораздо лучше - в автоматическом режиме ящики гонятся до 350-360 МГц, что выражается в 105-110Гх с ящика.
Блоки питания поставил снаружи корпуса, кмк снаружи им гораздо комфортнее.
Следующий этап - перемазать термопасту, посмотрим даст ли это что-то, ну и затем - вольтмод

смена термопасты особо не помогла после замены блока питания. среднее значение частот сейчас колеблется 360-363мгц.

тут уже нужен вольтмод. интересны результаты, которые с ним получаться, и что будет в себя включать вольтмод.

+ продув кондеем в морду

Без термопасты из второго батча - 356-358

P.S. Нет претензий к стоковым enermax 750w - тянут разгон на трех модулях. Стоковые корсары на 700w отложил в сторонку.
