I'm hedged and believe in both BTC and LTC, but check out this new article about Litecoin: https://atriark.com/blog/litecoin-become-best-investment-2015/

For the past 2 years my wealthy Bitcoin elitist buddies had been making fun of me for holding some Litecoin and told me that there can only be Bitcoin, but LTC is looking promising.

Since people still have to buy BTC to get to LTC this could actually be a good thing for BTC.

litecoin very spesial in first launch rate very high then some miner dump it very low
after it miner and whales buy back her Litecoin more than he sell and with low cost

now accumulation is finish, and whales cooperate with same media, news to give good news about litecoin

I think litecoin is Best investment if you buy in accumulation rate, not in high line like now

fuck bit-x

Well i wouldn't buy now there was a big pump to 4 usd it might go back to 2.8 or so before it goes up even more, a lot of people got back in when it broke 1.5 usd or so.

i admit that litecoin had a pretty nice month for its price and made many investors that had started early when the price was low and it showed some movements. but i don't see it as a long term investment.

litecoin has a block halving on the way which is contributing to its price rise besides there was the bitcoin price stability for some time and also the recent price rise which also contributed to the litecoin pump.

Litecoin was $10 a year ago...you sure it's "due for a rise"?

A lot of interesting points here. Do people really think the hard fork is causing people to turn away from Bitcoin? This seems plausible in theory and not in reality.

But alas, it will never be independent of it's father.
Litecoin will always ride on the coat tails.
As soon as bitcoin goes down it will go down.

Litecoin got pumped by a single entity.

That entity could have been an exchange, a mining rig manufacturer - who knows who and who knows why.

If you don't know why you're buying or are just buying because it got "pumped" then you'll just get burned, and deservedly so.

It was a step rise (note: not "steep" but "step") and at that, a pale shadow of the November 2013 one. The best you can expect therefore is a gradual decline instead of a step fall.

Compared to the November 2013 pump, it's already starting to tip over and has nowhere near the volume.

It's hard to agree with your statement at this very moment. Litecoin has already reached pre-rally prices and with the halving event coming up in less than 60 days it should be up trending from here. My guess is that panic buying will ensue two weeks out from the actual Litecoin halving event. As to whether it maintains it's price after that day is another story, but I'm extremely confident that this will be a nice bull run.

i think there are a lot of reasons for litecoin being pumped right now.

the biggest reason in my opinion is the fact that bitcoin market was stable for a long time and the price was going down or stayed at stable price. so a lot of traders went for a bigger profit and started pumping litecoin.

additionally litecoin's block reward halving is another push for this pump.

i choose ltc over scam coins paycoin, startcoin, monero, dass(digital ass) or shadowscam anytime.

scam coin = promises everything, offer nothing and have nothing beside copy/paste wallet

There have been numerous "dead coins" that have been pumped over the last month. Sometime's they didn't even have a dev, like Fedoracoin and Mintcoin. Even Tickets got pumped, and the Tickets network isn't even working. It doesn't seem to matter if a coin is any good or not, for some unknown reason certain coins are getting pumped.

Litecoin's certainly not a "dead coin", but there may be no reason it's getting pumped, it just is.

I agree.  But imo it's partly thanks to Andresen's XT and how Hearn plans to make it the main chain.  Some people are looking to hedge their positions and LTC is the safest most practical bet.

I m holding mostly LTC now with some BTC and a little Cannabiscoin (of course!). Grin

But I'm looking to get into Cannabiscoins more, but we'll see.  I've been posting at their thread but the devs/crew there doesn't seem to respond much.

Litecoin price lifted up again today. It seems the bubble is going to be very heavy. I think for now buy is the worst decision that someone can make.
