left it blank as I don't care to use either one. using bronze psu only saves money if it is free

The answer is  the non modular has 522 watts  on each pcie and will send 200 watts to each one which will run the s3+  as it will pull about 385 watts.

only 2 cables they are border line.

It is only the modular that struggles as the wires are thinner  they would get warm.

If I see it right the modular is using 1 wire for both PCI-e - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139048 .  I personally would not try to get that amount of power out of 1 pcie wire split into to connectors.

The non modular I cannot find a good enough picture to say.   But I would for sure not go modular.  I would see if anyone has the non modular to see if you would be trying to get all that power through one mediocre cable or if it has two cables making it much better.

Three is kinda a odd number, might double check as a lot of time it's in multiples of 2.

But if it has not two separate connectors, but two separate power cables for the pcie yes it very easily will power it.   And you should not get into issues such as hot wires, or some of the other issues with trying to pull to much power through one cable.

Hi,

do you think it suits S3 + has? for a while

Be Quiet 80+

Personally I would not go for it seems to be a cheap ATX psu.  But does look to have 2 PCI-e power cables so I'm putting it as a maybe it will work.

I would say yes if it was not for the brand.  It should... but your playing with a cheap psu.

do not use it.  it is a 2 rail   each are 20 amps but the combined max is 34 amps   34 x 12 =  408   watts

it will burn up..   maybe just maybe if you down clock to freq 175  or 200 it will work.

thanks answer!

355 W rated power?

antminer s3+ details:
Code:
Power Consumption: 355 Watt at the wall
Power Efficiency: 0.78J/GH on wall

while the ant miner will draw  355watts on freq 218 or  freq 225  that is based  on a quality Gold rated psu.

your psu is rated 20 amps per 12 volt rail    and 34 amps combined for its two 12volt rails.

If I knew  that each pcie wire drew from the separate rail  1 + 2  you may be able to do freq 200.  But many times your lower quality psu  will use one 12 volt rail for both pcie's and the other 12 volt rail for  the motherboard.

I also am pret sure your  psu is bronze not gold so it will use 385 watts not 355 watts.

So I am trying to keep you safe by saying try the freq 175 setting not the stock 218 or 225 settings.

If it runs 2 days in a row at freq 175 bump up a little higher.

I mean, so we all clear
the real problem is that the network operated 600-650w was what I have (free energy) do not have to pay for it.

have HP DPS-800gb (1000w too high) 4x pcie Pic

I found a buyer and buy another one
search _ CX600M Smiley for example

i found corsair CMPSU600G Pic good?

or

FSP Raider 750W Pic

If you own 1 S-3+ and you own 1 Hp DPS-800gb    you do not need another psu.

Attach the s-3 to the HP DPS-800gb

the s-3+ will only pull   340 to 370 watts from the HP Dps-800gb
