When I sell a old hard drive to a friend for cash, and I use that cash to buy lunch and toys for my kids. Nobody would go through the trouble of tracing those transactions to determine my spending habits. It is a bit different with the blockchain, if you only use one address for everything you are doing, because your spending habits is known to everyone.

This is why some of us promote mixer services and single use addresses. You drop bitcoins via a Mixer service into a single use address, and then use all the coins... after that you never use it again. You have the right to keep your financial spending habits private and the same goes for cash. ^Blink^

OP, just in case you want anonymity, because you are planning to commit online crimes, I have an advise for you:

Everything that looks anonymous to you now, doesn't necessarily mean, that it still will be in the future.

Take the dna evidence as an example. Some "perfect crimes", weren't that perfect anymore, after this invention.

if too much time pass then the criminal is acquitted because of prescription, so this is moot, also it's not like anyone who want to stay anon has committed a criminal activity

there are certainly other reasons to want to preserve your identity

Thanks for answers, very appreciated.

I never used poloniex or bittrex, are they like a open marketing for exchange? I believe they store information about all transactions and even IP addresses, so is it really anonymous if I exchange my BTCs to monero or dash?
poloniex asks for your personal information in order to let you withdraw from your balance there. many exchangers do this, so read their faq and fees and all the rules before doing anything.

all of the exchengers might keep a record of everyone trading there like IP and other info.

Quote
I also have one advise for Bitmixer.io, but in practice how easy is track it?
read their faq page on bitmixer it will answer all your questions.
you can add time difference between receiving the funds and receive in multiple addresses with different amounts for maximum anonymity.

Calling someone a criminal without evidence?

I call you a shitty troll

He said "In case" :p

edit: Actually it is pointless to explain. He is not speaking english too well, and shows a lot of resistance against society and adult behaviour.

If I need to do so;
I'm using exchanges to mix my coins. For instance;
I'm depositin 0.5 BTC to exchange X and 0.5 BTC to exchange Y, Then splitting them 0.1, 0.3 vs vs, then recombine them on a "use & dispose" blockchain.info wallet.
(Of course I save the disposable wallet's private key).

It takes some time & a few bucks, but it works fine for me.

Hi all,

Thanks for all answers, very appreciated.

What means "OP" that some folks write?

Monero sounds like a nice service. I liked XMR.to sounds very interesting.

Someone used Anoncoin (ANC)? Sounds very nice. Should be nice have services such as XMR.to and shapeshift.io offering a similar service for this crypto coin. Smiley

Finally, my goal os not criminal, but I'm concerned about other with eyes on what I do. I think that I have the rights to do my things anonymous.

I really don't understand the reason about it's being a big concern to some people if there are tons of bad guys online that do bad things such as scam and steal money and never get discovered / in jail. We (the good people pay for them), if for these guys is so easy to be 100% anonymous, why it's not for normal people? What do they do?

Thanks.

Sorry for ignorance, but what is a dispute and use wallet? I used the terms that you referenced on google and nothing was found! LOL

Also, what is the benefit for anonymity?

Best regards.

damn, I made a typo.
it's not disputable. it should be "disposable".
And for example disposable wallet: "Use vpn, proxy etc to blockchain.info wallet (or any other wallet service)  and use it once to send bitcoins".

You can also CoinJoin transactions to anonymize your Bitcoin. It utilizes a function of transactions where there are multiple inputs and multiple outputs. The idea is that if all of the outputs are the same amount, then no one can know who owns what output address. The only problem is getting all of the users to sign them and it can a bit of a hassle. I'm sure if you poke around in the service section you will find people offering to do CoinJoins.

A lot of people got their money trapped in Poloniex and werent able to withdraw before they started asking for name and whatnot. As far as I know, if the transaction is inferior to 2500 you can invent a fake name, get the money out of there, mix it around and then the exchange doesnt know where that money went.

...

philpma1967 puts a very important topic on the table for our review.

I definitely mix my coins when I can to hide the trail from casual (and maybe somewhat stronger) Bad Guys -- hackers, etc.  I have no illusions that the US .gov cannot find hidden BTC should they so choose.

Criminal behavior is, well, criminal!

Don't be a criminal...

Privacy <> Criminality.

I know government agencies read here and reddit.

This thread is asking how to hide income.
I know giving the OP free advice seems harmless.

It is not you could get into trouble.
So please keep it in mind.

Back to me I worked for the IRS from 1983 to 1984.

I left and got a degree in accounting. My Mom's worked at the IRS for 27 years and retired from them in 1987.  My wife worked for the IRS for 33 years and retired from them in 2011.

So

A: Be careful what you write here
 B: Threads are looked at.
C:  People can ask questions to get you in trouble.

It is possible to maintain complete anonymity if you're very careful, but the problem is we are human. At some point, someone is bound to make a mistake sooner or later

There is already a network https://www.reddit.com/r/joinmarket/ for coinjoin thats been live for some time. Coinjoin-ing is now almost trivial.

OP, just in case you want anonymity, because you are planning to commit online crimes, I have an advise for you:

Calling someone a criminal without evidence?
