Check out this article about why everyone needs to be investing in Bitcoin: https://atriark.com/blog/bitcoin-best-investment-century/

It's well written and put in a way that would help most outsiders understand why it's a good idea to get into the market right now. I seriously believe that Bitcoin could be the greatest transfer of wealth in human history. Although my friends and family still think I'm crazy, but we shall see.

I think you're, how do they say "preaching to the choir" here.

Cool article. Oddly Atriark had a similar article, perhaps last week, claiming that Litecoin would be the best investment of 2015 - which begs the question if this source is claiming two different investments to be the best in the same timeframe they may just be trying to sell page views rather than investment advice.

That said, Bitcoin is an investment that I want to be a part of. Good luck to you.

Everyone was claiming i was crazy when i was buying equipment, miners and coins few years ago, but they're silent now  Grin
imho, bitcoin is a very good investment, since you can't loose all of your investment (bitcoin can't go to 0) and the upper limit doesn't exist on price, but still
it is also very unlikely to make you 1000x return in few years like it already did tho.

cheers

Why can't bitcoin go to zero? (Or let's just say 1 dollar/euro/pound?)

Don't kid yourself, I believe it can certainly go that low...just like every other investment in this world (even the stuff that has a tangible backing like gold).

This is nice but I wish there was a simple chart that we could share with friends that have no knowledge of the benefits... forget mining and technical advances... we need basic "this is what's in it for you" concepts... K.I.S.S.

Agreed, it's unlikely that it will go to zero, but it's definitely possible.  Have you ever seen a stock go to zero?  It can happen and it happens quickly...once the price starts dropping below losses that people can tolerate, there's a mass selloff based on fear.  Again, unlikely for it to happen to bitcoin as it seems to be growing in popularity.

When Bitcoin rallied in 2013, Litecoin also saw a nice boost (thanks to Bitcoin). Would it be too far fetched to think that both could be great investments? One article said "of the century" and the other said "of 2015", so I don't think that's the same time-frame.

Regardless, I have invested in both and have essentially become an evangelist for crypto. Not a day goes by that I don't bring it up to family, friends, colleagues and absolute strangers.

Hopefully everyone has been doing this!

Litecoin price action shadowed Bitcoin for a while but has since diverged.  Sentiment appears to show that Litecoin's lowered price is reflective of its relative lack of innovation.  Still, it may be around for a while since it was one of the very first altcoins.

From investing point of views, every investment carry some extent of risk. When you invest , just invest the amount what you can afford to lose! You wouldn't miss this opportunity and even bitcoin fails, you wouldn't lose too much.

the chart appear to be really clean and simple to read, that's cannot be the problem really...

this is not the same bitcoin, is still fairly new, all those stocks you're talking about weren't revoluzionary, the chance that bitcoin will go to zero, after the countless times, that was declared "dead", are really slim, and probably impossible for the time being

All good points in that article, but nothing that hasn't already been said before. Notice how the entire article concludes with a link to an investment opportunity? Good news I guess, BTC is still valuable enough to steal!

True, but I think it did a good job of putting the right pieces together for a newbie. I sometimes feel like we need to do a better job in educating the public. I often bring up Bitcoin to strangers at any chance I get and no matter how I try to explain it to them, I get the deer in the headlights look.

After becoming frustrated and give up on it, I simply direct them to the pretty YouTube explainer video along with other various starter sources.

A very well written article.. Good job.  Cool

I think the most important thing many people seem to over look, is the $229 million in backing from VC firms... Ask yourself the question.. Why would that much money be invested in something, if the people behind it, did not see potential in the technology?

I think we might have way more than 100 000 merchants world wide, who accepted Bitcoin. I am writing emails to companies on a daily basis, asking when they will accept Bitcoin and giving them contact details of companies who would help them to do it.

The Cult like community, is actually a complement for us..... but it should actually be replaced by the word "Passionate" or "enlightened"  Wink

Could they possibly think that the technology has applications, but the price could go to double digits?

If you consider past gains, Bitcoin is already the best investment of the century. (Please come up with other assets to disprove me... )

I think the most important thing many people seem to over look, is the $229 million in backing from VC firms... Ask yourself the question.. Why would that much money be invested in something, if the people behind it, did not see potential in the technology?

That's a good question. Maybe they think that buying companies has a better risk-reward-ratio. If the companies VCs bought succeed, they will amass a lot of Bitcoin in the process. So they are buying Bitcoin indirectly. But maybe it's just traditional thinking or a pure definition-based phenomenon: VCs invest in ventures, that's why they are named VCs.
