help with updating a LKETC Miner 1.5T/S A1 with new OS/firmware

Hey there guys and girls,

Just hoping to get some advice on how to proceed with updating the firmware and put on a new/fresh OS on the raspberry pi controller on a LKETC Miner 1.5T/S A1 i just got second hand, i feel like it should be done as the previous buyer was unable to provide root access details and the version of cgminer on there is quite old but really entering into new ground for myself so was hoping to get some sound advice on how and what to get or pointed towards a guide/tutorial so i can walk myself through the process(search engines only leave me with PiMiner build) assuming it is possible to do.
