At least 45 ISIS fighters reportedly die after eating Ramadan meal in Mosul

At least 45 Islamic State fighters died after eating a fast-breaking Ramadan meal in the Iraqi city of Mosul Tuesday, Haaretz reported.

According to Saeed Mamozeny, a spokesman for the Kurdish Democratic Party, 145 ISIS fighters took part in the iftar meal, the traditional evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset.  Shortly afterwards, 45 members were reported dead.  The spokesman also said that they have not determined if the cause was food poisoning or deliberate poisoning.

Mosul, once with a population of over 1 million, was captured last June by Islamic State fighters. It is the largest city in the group’s self-declared caliphate,.

ISIS has reportedly suffered casualties as a result of poisoned food in the past. In November, the Times of Iraq reported that Free Syrian army militants had infiltrated an ISIS camp, posed as cooks and poisoned their lunches. Dozens of ISIS fighters subsequently died.

Those accidents happens in Ramadan here but basically when you drink shitload of water without eating anything but not that huge amount of people :/
It's more then likely that they got poised by some intelligence agencies or something .

yes it seems an action by countries who are fighting with ISIS, may be its also possibler that local people of the city they takeover did this. but mostly it seems like it was either done by or supported by agencies that are working against them.

Either way it worked. It's not the most noble way of killing but those are terrorist so it's ok. 45 terrorists is no a huge amount but it's a good start.

Ramadan makes their activity sort of predictable. tho it is kind of disconcerting that they got poisoned while doing the only good thing that muslim terrorist can do. other non-terrorist muslims may see this as a wrath of God.

Hardly an accident, normal food poisoning doesn't kill 45 adults who are in fighting shape. Even many Sunnis are getting tired of this ISIS shit.

good riddance I say

Being in fighting shape isn't going to stop people from dying of food poising, especially if it's a really bad case, though I am more inclined to believe it was more likely deliberate poising by outside agents (especially if it's happened in the past). If people can get close enough to poison food though couldn't they also just ambush and kill them all from inside?

Well the person who poisoned ISIS was smart. I think we don't need to same cruel action to eradicate ISIS like they did, just do smart way like poisoning their foods. It will make them suspect and don't trust each others.

As I said in the last few comments about this Islamist organization, this more political issues, which should interest the competent authorities in this country and in other countries. You need to ask yourself, what if this continues, what all this? When will he react?

Now that begs another question. Why isn't US and other major world powers doing much about it??
There are much stronger arguments to support an attack on ISIS than there ever was on Iraq or Afghanistan. A few bombs dropped here and there just for show?? several theories floating around but I guess that's another discussion

And this idea of providing weapons and training so called rebels from 'moderate' islamist factions seems more like a replay of what happened during the soviet war with in Afghanistan.

The ISIS leaders need to be vanished altogether from the face of the earth. They're a bunch of sadist leading a bunch of people who are not aware of anything other than killing in the name of such a beautiful religion.

Whether the poisonings were intended or by accident has yet to be confirmed. However, The Mirror reported last November an attack involved members of the Syrian Free Army infiltrating ISIS with poison.
Rebel soldiers posed as chefs and poisoned dozens of ISIS militants at the Fath El-Sahel camp in Syria.

The problem is that not enough ISIS barbarians are getting killed. Some 300 to 500 new foreign recruits join the ISIS every week, after travelling through Turkey. Also, these people have recently stepped up the recruitment of local Sunni Arabs. And the American strikes and the Syrian Army / YPG attacks are killing only a few dozen every week.

Well I think its better than nothing. Atleast the numbers of retarded people has began to be reduced now.

Nope. Killing 50 or 60 of them will not achieve anything. If you want to defeat the ISIS, then you will have to kill them by the thousands. A loss of 50 or 60 people is quite insignificant for an organization, whose strength is well over 200,000 and increasing (Source: Peshmerga). Also, some 8 million Sunni Arabs are residing in the territory currently under the control of ISIS. It won't be hard for them to (forcibly) recruit a few hundred thousand.

Hmm, you are pessimistic person who expect something too much. Atleast we should appreciate what they have done to ISIS. If they don't do anything, the number increased rapidly. I think this incident has changed situation in ISIS, which I guess the ISIS members began to suspicious and don't believe each others.
