i'm still new to this forum as you are but as long as you see someone with a lot of positive trusts like 50 or 100 and above , I think its safe to trust them regardless of them been doing it for a year or not , their a lot that you may encounter on this section

how big trade you want to do ? then you can have escrow.ms   they are couple of years old and have very good raputation here or you can see list of all available escrows here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108716.0

and there are some escrow services outside the forum but i will suggest you find from the link i sent you above.

No.  Ever heard of TradeFortress?  He was one of the most trusted members on this forum before the inputs.io hack/scam.
