Can I retrieve lost XRP?

I bought a small amount of XRP a long time ago and have since lost the username/password or whatever it was I was supposed to keep.  I know the exact amount of XRP and exactly when I transferred it from the exchange to a Ripple wallet.  I've contacted Ripple about this and they say there is nothing they can do without the private key which I don't have.  I thought they might be able to help since Ripple has some centralized aspects.  Am I out of luck?

They are refusing to help because they "no longer support migrations".
