The vote will take place soon. I am recommending that shareholders of yabif accept the offer made by usagi.

I honestly consider it to be a good deal. My investors get liquidity and a more diverse portfolio. Usagi and his investors receive a strong portfolio, and though not discussed in the deal, I would be more than happy to assist Usagi in the future should it be requested.
Though the contract does not say what to do in this case, I think a general vote will suffice.

Interesting. So YABIF shares will convert to NYAN.A automatically ? Its funny because I bought into YABIF to diversify from owning NYAN.A

Usagi; the only person refer to themselves in the third person, call themselves a socialite, and quote themselves all in a forum post.
With that aside; I can't fully understand this deal. Exchanging 1:1 simply because of the current share price is a rather inappropriate approach to making an acquisition. Hopefully when he issues the motion it will go into much further detail when rationalizing the motive.

The sale has been approved by bond holders 48-10. I will be assisting Nefario and Usagi in any way possible in the coming days as each yabif share including my own will be replaced with a share of nyan.a.

This is why I voted no fwiw. Now I have to offload even more NYAN because people see you holding shares in a ponzi scam and run a mile. Its unacceptable to hold these in a "low risk" fund.

People run a mile, but money flows to those smarter than that As long as Usagi transfers shares from B to cover losses, NYAN.A is really the safe heaven it is advertised as, at least for long enough to get out of that too if things go really rough. By the way, was it you selling 10 shares at 0.9? Just thanks, I sold my NYAN.A shares at the guaranteed 0.99 and bought most of yours. 10% profit here I come The deal is still valid, isn't it? How exactly will it happen? Will we wake up one day to find NYAN.A shares in our portfolio instead of YABIF, or do we have to contact you and do something?

I will handle the exchange manually over the course of, say, 2 weeks. I will also implement a buyout at .99/share for YABIF if people would prefer cash. YABIF will continue operating normally until there are no shareholders left and then it will be delisted. Sorry, what do you mean, manually?

In a shares-for-assets deal, Nyancat Financial has offered to buy the entire stake in YABIF and take over management of the fund.
Eariler today, Nyancat Financial and bitcoin community socialite usagi commented on the situation. "Our intent is to replace shares of YABIF 1 for 1 with NYAN.A shares, since both funds trade at 1 bitcoin per share. We feel this is a good offer for YABIF shareholders since NYAN.A is the only guaranteed and insured fund on the market today. Nothing is set in stone yet, but the offer has been made and we're in preliminary talks to arrange the transfer. There will be a shareholder motion."
Could more buyout offers be on the table for Nyancat Financial? Only time will tell. CEO usagi was quoted as saying "Nyancat Financial is looking to expand, and we don't mind paying fair value. Fund managers should think about it. We'll throw in a personal bonus too; we'll give any fund manager that sells out to us some free shares of Nyancat Financial... for free."
Full Disclosure: Yes, I am full. I recently ate. No, just kidding. Full disclosure, I run Nyancat Financial. Puffn will also likely make a statement, and this post is just a news release -- it does not constitute a final sale or an agreement of any sale terms, or even an agreement to sell YABIF.
Quoted for later.

Quoted for later. I have a strange feeling I'm going to facepalm when I hear your reasoning but.... why? At first I figured this was just someone quoting something you said with relevant terms of the buyout (trying to keep edit accusations away and the like), but it's just the ... interesting ... press release. I'm curious now too, as much as I don't want to give it any attention.
