i'd agree with LTC, also look around for faucets - if you have time you can certainly add to your stash for no more cost than a few clicks per hour/day.

Yeah. Dogecoin used to be a very profitable altcoin, but nowadays it is not worth it to mine it anymore. Also, there seems to have been little movement in Dogecoin development as I have checked Github earlier and last update was last year.

Still, I think that right now the most profitable alt coin is ETC. It would be best to mine some of these just for the profits, while it lasts since I have the feeling that ETH may prevail in the long term. Anything could happen with these both chains (ETH & ETC) so only time will tell whenever one of them will truly survive.

Now, I am looking into mining altcoins with the lowest difficulty to see if I could get some profit from them too.

Cool. I've never thought about this coin. I've been focused on other PoS coins while not carefully reviewing each in its marketcap and price increase. Thanks for sharing this useful information. It definitely seems like one of the PoS coins to invest into right now. The price at the moment is $0.10 USD so it is still cheap (although not the same as before) I doubt that it will go lower than that.

Thanks for the very useful tip, mate! This list helps me find out the most profitable Scrypt coins, as well as the ones with the lowest difficulty. Since I have a Gridseed GC3355 miner, I am going to try this out with very low difficulty cryptos. I have it overclocked to run at 500 kh/s so I will get started right away in this (as I have left mining some time ago)

Also, among the list I have found Bitmark very interesting.
