Ponzi is illegal is most countries however most ponzi operators operates these from the shadow which means their identity is unknown. On the other hand, people just cant stop joining this thing which is why everyone who joined ponzi should be responsible solely for their own mistake

P.S : this seems to be not the appropriate boards to post this since you are not making any scam accusations, should be in investor based / service discussion ( I could be wrong on this )

There you go , people just can't stop joining that's why we need some serious law about this. But the question is , how ? If people can't adjust maybe some law against ponzi can help those people.

About the thread section , Im not sure if this is the right section for this but I think this is the appropriate board. Willing to move it in other section.

People need to own their mistakes, not seek ways to placate and hand hold their greedy/gullible selves.
If someone is offering a staggering amount of interest, it's probably a good idea to walk away. If it's too good to be true, it more than likely is.
We don't need anymore rules and regulations just common sense.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Ponzi schemes are illegal. Depending on your country, operating, promoting or even simply "investing" in a ponzi scheme might be illegal.

I am unaware of any Bitcoin ponzi scheme operator or user that has been arrested. Most ponzi scheme operators run their service anonymously, it can be very difficult for law enforcement to track down the owners.

Anyway, ponzi schemes are already illegal for both operator and user yet many people still use them - a clear example of why prohibiting stuff doesn't work. Prohibiting things rarely decreases the demand for them and doesn't address the root problem. Instead of trying to ban ponzi schemes from the forum we should be educating new users so that they understand exactly what they are investing in.

of course not if they were caught to be operating ponzi schemes they can face charges of fraud but sadly most big time operators can just pay the bail and they are free to go

yes, of course they are, problem is with WHOIS hiding services..(which are generally free on majority of domain registrars)

I was in touch with couple of them and they will disclose identity of owner only to police which really complicating whole process. another point is, that even they had WHOIS, it may be complete fake and nobody is checking it right after registration, but only if you report it and even you will report it, it takes months..

if you are smart enough, is basically impossible to disclose the identity of owner, so even ponzi is illegal, current setup just helping them to scam others..

Ponzi is illegal. If I know a ponzi operator I won't send him to the court , I will just punch on his face and kick his ass.
But why do we care if the victims don't even care and keep investing to new ponzies?, people must use their own brain.
Btw, Government will try to shut ponzi down if it's growing bigger.

Illegal and don't forget the policy against ponzi scheme depend on what country do you live.
My country , there's still not policy against it because there're still no one got scam for ponzi scheme ( for bitcoin user )
Maybe for some country, ponzi scammer will face the law and it will lead into jail

The problem is definitely the ponzies that are hidden in other services, the ones in the ponzi section are obvious ponzi and are advertised as such so the people that "invest" in them know what they are doing and there is really no problem with that. The ponzies hidden in other services will be marked with negative trust in this forum if they are caught although they wont get banned

Ponzi's are illegal in lots of places.

the problem is that because of how they work, and especially how bitcoin ponzis work. It is very difficult to impossible for law enforcement to get the money back because the scammers spend it and/or give it away to other people participating in the scam.

You are much better off using your brain and holding on to your money than giving it to a scammer and hoping that Uncle Sam or whoever will get it back for you. Especially because the scams popping up on this form are actually very small time when compared to the rest of the shit the authorities who would be dealing with this are trying to deal with.

Maybe people should understand that these ponzi fraudsters rely on others greed. You can make all the laws in the world, but it won't stop people from sending money thinking they will get an easy profit.

Yes, there are.

But many people thinks, that every ponzi is scam etc. That is not true, ok you can lose many, but that is why it's on BT at Gambling section. But ok there is so many law, but till bitcoin is not a currency for states, noone can do something with it.

If you create a Ponzi scheme and bring back every day a large number of players, I think many will be able to make it.
