Wonderful news!

While developing my android app, I have the same problem as you.. how to mantain clean and updated the faucet list. The main problem is that faucet change their rewards, claim time and we can't stay all day updating the list.

A world database should be awesome Smiley
We can use a blockchain to store all faucet information  Grin

I think we may be talking about different things - the test I'll be putting up today or tomorrow will be the public unveiling of "Turbo" - a new feature which dramatically improves efficiency in a single-panel rotator (in my own testing I get through the same faucet list less than 2% faster in splitscreen than I do in Turbo)

But now that you mention it, making CSVs of my faucet lists available to other list/rotator owners is on my roadmap. It's a little way down the line though Smiley

Yes, it's really hard to keep track of all the changes faucet working, some are changing several times a day, especially a way to make a claim Angry

Hi all, as promised, I have uploaded a test version of the updated rotator for you all to play around with. Please try it out and let me know of any bugs you encounter, or any other feedback you might have. The idea is to replace the existing rotator in a few days when some other features are ready and whatever bugs exist have been ironed out (some new features have been removed for the purposes of this test)

Oh and I know the block button still displays kinda broken sometimes and the faucet list is getting messy due to lack of time spent on it over the past few days. The other new features I'm working on will fix that forever when they're ready Wink

I've also prepared a few words and a demo video to explain what you're looking at, but basically it moves a stack of 3 active faucets through the list, allowing you to step forwards indefinitely, and back once. This may not sound like a big deal, but trust me, it's huge. Watch the video if you're skeptical, this is a ground-up re-imagining of the concept of a faucet rotator, designed not simply to walk you through a list of websites, but to maximise the amount you claim.

I also have one more trick up my sleeve to cut times down even further which will be in the final version, but it's not relevant to the testing of the core functionality and is excluded from this trial.

Anyway, enable Turbo on the test site by visiting a faucet or starting the rotator manually and clicking the greyed out turbo button in the menu bar. If you're not logged in/signed up, you'll need to do that first or it'll just do the standard non-rotatorey redirects (I'm planning to fix this so guests can use the rotator too, but it's not my top priority right now)

Meet LetsGetCrypto Turbo - Demo video

On July 9th, LetsGetCrypto launched as the world’s first referral sharing faucet list, a service which promised to organically refer users on each others behalf when they visited faucets. Shortly after launch, the list was joined by a basic rotator which operated in single, double, or quad panel view.

Now, LetsGetCrypto is proud to present Turbo, a brand new feature designed from the ground up to maximize efficiency and minimize delays. When Turbo is enabled, it is possible to progress through the list of faucets in single-panel view almost as quickly as when using a split screen view.

The problem with rotators

Outside of the time required to complete the captcha, efficiency on any given faucet is impacted by 3 significant bottlenecks: The initial loading of the page, delays forced on us by the owner, and the time it takes for the server to respond after submitting the claim.

Some rotators have solved the first problem by implementing pre-loading, where the next faucet is loaded ‘behind’ the one you are currently viewing and displayed instantly on clicking the ‘next’ button. This is good, but addresses only one of the delays.

Other rotators have lessened all three problems by offering a multi-panel view. This is also a good solution but results in a cluttered screen, and is unworkable on small displays.

The solution

LetsGetCrypto Turbo. With Turbo enabled, the LetsGetCrypto rotator displays one faucet in full screen and is thus suitable for all screen sizes, but it effectively solves all three problem listed above by focusing your view on the center faucet in a deck of 3, pre-loading the faucet below, and retaining the faucet above.

Each time you take a step forward through the list of available faucets, Turbo preloads the next faucet to ensure that next time you click the forward button, the faucet is displayed almost instantly. It also pushes the previously visited faucet back and allows it to continue processing, meaning you are able to take one step back at any time. This offers solutions to all 3 of the major bottlenecks.

Initial load: Because Turbo is continually preloading the next faucet in the deck, you rarely need to wait for faucets to load.

Forced delays: Because the next faucet is always preloaded in the background, countdown timers start counting down before you reach them. But, if you do reach a faucet which has a timer counting down, you can just skip to the next one and complete it instead. Once you’ve completed the faucet *after* the one with the wait, you can use the ‘previous’ button to step back to the one with the delay, which will have been counting down the whole time. In a worst case scenario you may come across 2 faucets which force wait times back to back, but by using the next and back buttons with Turbo enabled they will both be counting down simultaneously, and an additional faucet will be pre-loading behind them (and its timer counting down) resulting in minimal interruption.

Claim submission: Because the previous faucet stays active when you step forward, you can click claim and instantly move to the next faucet, the server will process your request and respond in the background while you continue, eliminating the claim submission delay.

And don’t forget, you are working with 3 active faucets at any given time. This means if you step backwards, the next *2* faucets are already loaded so you can skip forward two faucets before any more loading takes place.

I just tried Turbo option and works perfectly, a great idea that will speed up the work with the faucet!
I have found no problems so far.
Compliments for the excellent work, and a lot of success with new challenges Smiley

Thanks guys, feedback from here and elsewhere has all been positive so far so I've pushed the test version into production.

I'll also be adding that report button very soon. The reason that is taking so long is partly because I've been focusing on improving efficiency, but also because I'm doing it in a non-trivial way where reports about active faucets are meta-moderated by other users rather than reviewed by me - this means the whole thing is relatively automated and the list will never drift far from being accurate, which means I can take a step back from checking the ever-growing list of faucets all the time and instead focus on development and just review the disabled list periodically.

I love working through the list with turbo enabled, but, like I said I have one more efficiency trick up my sleeve, and after I get some well earned rest and spend some time with my family I'll also polish that off and add it in.

I'm quite pleased with the way this is turning out Smiley

I wanna say thank you for 500 satoshi you've given.
You have a tidy, simple, and easy faucet.
And you might want to reduce the time length for claiming.
Please figure it out.
Good luck  Wink

Remember I said I had one more efficiency trick up my sleeves? Well with the addition of Big Buttons, Turbo is complete, and LGC is home to the most efficient rotator bar none. Initial testing carried out on the Litecoin list resulted in an average of 8 claims per minute:

Don't believe this is possible in a single-panel rotator? I don't blame you! Here's video evidence of similar results in a second run.

(sandboxing was also implemented today - which allows me to add sites with popups and framebreakers without them popping up or framebreaking Smiley)

Thank you guys. Matt I'm sure I would reciprocate the sentiment on your android thread but I'm afraid I'm a filthy iPhone peasant Smiley

It turns out there's a bug affecting Turbo in Chrome. I'm having severe difficulty tracking it down, it's something weird that either jquery or the browser itself does, which results in the frames containing the faucets just... not updating... so you cycle through them fine for a while using the next button then at some seemingly random point you start cycle through the same 3 pages over and over for a while until whatever is broken decides to start working again.

It's very weird, my other priorities have all been bumped down so I can devote my attention to this, but have no ETA on a fix at this point.

I found two little problems:
1) the two big-blue button to move across faucet, sometimes cover the captcha or the claim button. To complete the faucet, I need to stop turbo mode and re-enable it again. I suggest you to let the user the choice to make them visible or not  Wink
2) sometimes it happen that in turbo mode, my two screen display the same faiucet.

Yeah the bad news is that I obviously tied myself in knots working late so much last week and ended up having to rewrite a huge chunk of code. The good news is the rewrite pushes efficiency to its absolute limit. The current Turbo mode is sloooow in comparison.

So, sorry about the weird stuff it's doing, it will all be fixed ASAP.

I'm on the same your condition, while developing my android app rotator Smiley

Thanks for the info and the great works!
It's kinda ridiculous, I don't know if your app is paid or how you're doing financially, but I know I've burned through loads of cash getting set up, never mind all the man-hours I've put in. There's something about it though, it's like claiming from the faucets themselves - I know it's a poor investment of my time, but I just can't seem to stop Smiley

The super-duper scary-fast Turbo update is a bit of a headache to implement so I spent some time tonight on the existing version and have now fixed the Chrome bug (which was probably affecting other browsers to a lesser extent too) the two screens displaying the same faucet is something I'll have to look into another day though I'm afraid, I used a very cheap and nasty way of trying to prevent that happening so I'm not entirely surprised it's breakable tbh. As for the buttons, I've toyed with a few ideas for this. The easiest (which obviously gets my vote) is a small button which just acts as a toggle and moves them from wherever they currently are - 65% vertical I think - to say 35% and back. The other options are a bit more creative but also more work, currently I'm thinking either the toggle button, a slider which slides them further from/towards the center when dragged, or just making the buttons themselves draggable so you can position them wherever you want.

What do you think? Will a shortcut do you, or are you going to put me to work? (I'd probably go for the draggable buttons if it wasn't me who had to code it Cheesy)

Nope, I'm developing just for passion   Wink
At the beginning, I developed the app for myself, because I wanted something easy and useful when I'm not on a desktop PC. Then, I published the app, so all people can take advantage and earn some satoshi. I think now I burned 50-60 man-hours just for "fun".

The button.. I would prefer the draggable button, so each user can decide where to put it. Other options:
- put the buttons in the bottom
- let the user decide to show or not the big buttons when activating the turbo (I prefer using the upper arrow)

Keep an eye on the overlay buttons, because some captcha systems can detect overlay buttons and stop working!!

Bye!

OK, draggable buttons it is... I've got a lot on over the next few days so it'll probably be next week before I can implement that.

It's been another busy day today. I found and fixed some more nasty bugs in the rotator. I can't believe how screwed up it was, but it should all be working very smoothly now. Also, knowing I'm going to be away from my computer a lot this week has pressed me to quickly automate as much as I can, so you'll find the lists are generally less inaccurate, a lot of things that may need my attention will also be flagged up automatically from now on which will buy me some time to get the reporting+metamoderation up and running.

It's by no means a perfect system to keep the lists in shape, but it'll make using the site less frustrating, and make me more responsive as (some kinds of) issues with faucets arise.

A bunch of new faucets have been added, I've got a busy weekend ahead of me so I put a good deal more work in on automation yesterday, there's still a lot of work to do but more faucets will drop in and out automatically when dry/replenished and most of the information held will update automatically as owners change wait times, referral percentages, rewards etc.

I ran through the BTC rotator this morning to check manually and earned 60k satoshis in just under 30 minutes, I think that's a pretty good result.
