Not at all. If ASICs come out about when we expect them to you'll likely be able to sell your GPUs to gamers pre-christmas

Yep, have been for over a year now.  Also it has been starting to get down to the high 30's F now at night and I haven't had to turn on the heat yet .

I agree with this.  The gamer market will gladly soak up 7970s from bitcoin miners for less than retail - $300-$350 or so.  As long as you've had them a few months, you'll have paid for the depreciation.

I agree with this.  The gamer market will gladly soak up 7970s from bitcoin miners for less than retail - $300-$350 or so.  As long as you've had them a few months, you'll have paid for the depreciation.

Yup, I'm selling a few of mine to friends at £240 apiece, I picked them up at an average of £266 each in April, so they've easily made a profit.
