There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

No definite time. If you have time to check latests threads here in technical support you will find transactions with low fees that got stucked so your transaction is nearly impossible to confirm as of now. Since you are the seller, dont give/send the good/s you are selling until the transaction got confirmed or it may never arrive in your wallet

Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: Transaction was previously accepted but has been pruned from our database.

This is a good sign. Now that the transaction is pruned from memory pool. Ask the buyer to create another transaction. The buyer might still have the old transaction in his wallet depending on which client he is using. It might take some fiddling to the wallet to remove the transaction from his log. Not easy for the inexperienced. Best for you as the recipient, is to ask the sender to send coins from another address, not the one he previously used.

Why do people still send transactions with no fee? It's such a tiny amount of money, is it really worth the stress & worry, waiting for confirmations that might not even come.
Just pay the fee people, stop jamming up the network with junk.

I have no idea. I did it once when I was new to bitcoin and the transaction took almost a month to get confirmed, LOL. I sent like 0.00001 BTC with no fee, such a noob I was Anyways with some of the backed up transactions I created a confirmation notification tool. http://btcwidget.com/notify.php Paste in your transaction ID and it will play an alarm once your transaction has confirmed, that way you don't have to keep F5'ing blockchain.info or you could go do something else nearby and wait for the alarm to go off.

because they can. last time I did it simply on purpose to get some real experience, how to do it and how long it takes: https://blockchain.info/tx/422e8d93ea7772297343fc2a939c6358022d99b45c7703d23bc81400c4d93072basically, I don't see any problems with zero fee transactions. If somebody wants to accept risk, be unsure about results and suffer endless waiting, he can try it for sure, anyway, I can't recommend it:) btw, I have to wait ~33 hours, which is not so bad at all, but it just depends on luck, there is no accurate reply to OP question..

Nobody can say. When I accidentally send a transaction with no fee it is confirmed in1 hour or never. It's pretty much about your luck! I know, anybody can missclick or whatever and do a 0 fee transaction but 0.0001 isn't too much. Don't send without fees if you can.

How long does a pruned transaction get rejected? Obviously, it won't happen till the end of time. I think some nodes might still accept the tx. Also its possible that someone has stored the tx and could retransmit it. Without seeing the inputs to the tx, its hard to tell for sure -- but .... its possible (at least in theory) that this tx can still get confirmed after a few days. The sender / buyer should ensure that the transaction is invalidated by spending those coins somewhere.
