Is there a way to use a Unix script to mine with minerd on Ubuntu 12.04?

Thanks!

you can write a a script with bash (IE cpumine.sh)

this will allow you to run the minerd without having to type the commands.

#!/bin/sh
 ~/cgpuminer/minerd -blah blah blah
