I never joined the slack group.  I figured if and when any progress or updates occurred, the information would leak here eventually.  It seems like a whole lot of nothing has happened since moving to slack.

Very disappointed.  All these big name poker pros endorsing this and a reputable looking team behind the company.  I figured it was going to be a long wait for the launch of the platform, but it seemed like a sure winner once they got the project off the ground.  It seems like hardly a damn thing has been accomplished since the ICO though.  I know it was well short of their original goal for funding, but they should have just refunded everyone and called it off because clearly they haven't accomplished shit and they weren't even remotely close to being able to deliver a working platform.

These guys pilfered 3 BTC from me.  Let us know if there is any luck getting an attorney.  I'd definitely be interested in joining a class action if it comes to that.

I would kind of doubt you would be able to get an attorney to get btc back , But I wish you the best on it if it is able to happen . But just from what I read , it seems this would have bee a really good project , especially if you like poker and I for one do love holdem .

I was trying to find a copy of the terms and conditions of the sale, but can't seem to find it.  I am not very hopeful about a lawsuit.  From what I remember, the terms and conditions were worded in such a way where basically there had zero obligations to deliver shit to us.  If there is one thing they would made sure to do right, it is covering their own asses.

It would be interesting to see what a lawyer says or if the Breakout devs respond though.

True enough . But it seems to me that they most likely never really had those top players and it was a scam from the get go . I could be wrong , However it looks this way . Do you have a copy of the original thread I could look at ? I might find it .

Shows there should be going live by August 2015 which is still just under a month away and the last post they made was after the hack that happened here and it stated that they were closing the thread and moving all conversation to slack .

Pretty sure they legitimately had endorsements from all those pros.  I remember seeing tweets from some of them, and saw articles about it on some legit poker/gambling news websites.  There is a named team of developers on the website as well.  They were known entities and real people.  I don't think the issue was that it was a scam.  The issue is they blew what little cash they raised from us on god knows what and aren't even close to launching anything.  It sounds like they are just pulling a "whoops, we failed.  well, read the terms and conditions, better lucky next time!".

Koontas, did you actually get into the BRO slack?  The devs ever stop by?  If the developers aren't responding, I doubt I can get into it.  Doesn't seem like there is much point anyway.

Good idea.  All the stars that allowed their names to be tied to this debacle helped convince me to invest.  I'm sure it is the same for others.  I don't follow poker closely these days, but when I played during the big poker boom in early 2000's, Huck Seed, Todd Brunson, Jennifer Harman, Johnny Chan, Layne Flack, were all names to be respected.  Sure they all got paid a few grand a piece just so these guys could slap their names on the website.

We're going to make sure that doesn't happen.  A lawsuit would certainly prevent them from being able to obtain any sort of gaming license in the future.

They seemed to have a lot of the tech done, I still tend to believe they ran into legislative problems and were advised to just drop it. Or perhaps the private investors (pro gamblers) didn't actually have the money when they needed it - poker pros are notoriously broke and having only small amounts of themselves in big games i.e. they sell most of the action.

We are now halfway through August and still nothing. Sad that my prediction from April in the old thread seems to becoming true.

This is really starting to remind me of Phenix Coin from a couple of years ago. Also a coin with a lot of promises about a poker room, casino, exchange etc. Lots of hype, lots of missed deadlines and turned out to be a complete scam with the developers running off with all the money.

Not saying this will be the same, but I think all you investors should study up on the history of that coin, and see what could end up happening.
