When the group Center for Medical Progress released the now-infamous lunchtime conversation with Planned Parenthood’s senior medical adviser, some wondered why the group waited a year to publish the video. CBS News picked up the story this morning, with Jan Crawford giving an unsurprisingly fair report on the nearly three-year probe. There is more coming, Crawford reports — much more:

Planned Parenthood blasted the “heavily edited video” as the work of “extreme anti-abortion activists.”
David Daleiden is founder of the group that took the video.
“I think these are really horrific and troubling actions for 99 percent of Americans,” Daleiden said.
“Planned Parenthood is still receiving $50, $75, sometimes $100 per specimen per fetal part. So all of that is just straight up profit that goes to their bottom line,” Daleiden added.
Even if it’s done legally, medical ethicists question whether Planned Parenthood should be in the business of providing fetal tissue.
“You’ve got to be sure that it’s the patient, the woman who is at the center of your concern and nothing else is diverting from that,” Dr. Arthur Caplan of NYU’s Langone Medical Center said. “Supplying fetal tissue from the remains to third parties is diverting. I would not do it.”

In the Age of Obama, Some Lives Matter More than Others



Left-wing Democrats do not respect life. Whether one of them is nonchalantly talking about “crushing” the life from another human being over wine, or completely ignoring the crushed life of someone killed by an illegal immigrant, those lives can be easily written off if they are deemed inconvenient.

Barack Obama is easily the most anti-life president we have ever had, as his enthusiasm for abortion and lack of interest in the deaths of Americans like Kate Steinle reveal. He has yet to weigh in on the sickening undercover video of a Planned Parenthood director cheerfully discussing the harvesting and selling of aborted baby parts — and he likely won’t. Abortion is one of this president’s pet issues and his media toadies will voluntarily help mitigate any damage the video does to their cause either by ignoring it or by attempting to discredit it. He has also been deafeningly silent on the death of Steinle at the hands of an illegal immigrant in a sanctuary city.

Left-wing activists like to repeat the slogan “Black Lives Matter” and they get angry when you correct them by saying, “No — ALL Lives Matter.”

Because clearly —  to the left – some lives do not matter:

The author of the video said more videos are coming. It was an almost 3 year deep undercover infiltration. Salon.com is a pro pp and pro abortion lef twing website. It is logical they would say it is propaganda. I have posted pp's response citing ONLY left wing pro abortion "media" saying it is a fake scandal a couple of posts earlier (the big pinkish image).

If you are courageous enough you can go through the 2+ hrs of the unedited video and you make up mind yourself. Not from me. Not from salon.com

Planned Parenthood apologizes for exec's 'tone' in video

The president of Planned Parenthood on Thursday apologized for the “tone and statements” of its chief medical officer, whose candid comments about fetal organ removal have generated heavy attacks against the organization.

“Our top priority is the passionate care that we provide. In our video, one of our staff members speaks in a way that does not reflect that compassion,” president Cecile Richards said in a video statement released Thursday afternoon.

“This is unacceptable, and I personally apologize for the staff member’s tone and statements,” she said.

Dr. Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services, was filmed discussing the demand for fetal organs such as livers, lungs and “intact” hearts. The video has racked up more than 1.5 million views since it was released Tuesday.

Nucatola has since been "reprimanded," vice president of communications Eric Ferrero wrote in a statement to The Hill, though the organization declined to provide specifics.

The secretly recorded video, which depicts Nucatola sipping wine over lunch, was created by anti-abortion advocates who posed as buyers from a medical research company.

Since its release, two congressional committees and multiple states have launched investigations into the organization’s fetal tissue donation process.

Planned Parenthood has released more than a dozen pages of counterattacks against what they called a “smear video” filmed by abortion opponents who want to permanently ban the procedure.

In the video, Richards also doubles down on her defense of fetal tissue donation — which she said contributes to “life-saving research.” She said the donations are only done with the woman’s consent and never for profit.

“I want to be really clear. The allegation that Planned Parenthood profits in any way from tissue donation is not true,” Richards adds.

It's not clear yet they're breaking laws, but that's the point of the investigation.

However some of the things being posted since are flat out wrong.

They sell human organs to the highest bidder.

Do you have anything to substantiate that? Some people are trying to spin this as selling organs for profit "to the highest bidder," which would clearly be illegal. If this is happening, prosecution needs to follow. However, I doubt this is the case. I doubt the people who shot this undercover video even think this is the case.

If PP is providing organs to biotech companies or other research organizations at cost of obtaining them from otherwise legal abortions, an investigation needs to happen to make sure all applicable laws being followed, but that's quite not the picture some are trying to spin this into with inaccurate and unsubstantiated rhetoric like the kind posted above.

PP says all donations are made with full consent of the mother. This is an obviously easy thing to verify, since there will be paper records indicating consent was given. So at this time, there is no reason to believe "the patient has NO IDEA what's going on."

Was PP explicit about the selling of baby parts or was the explanation buried under legalese? In any case if this whole scandal goes nowhere and the DOJ does not take the case then it will be a legal precedent to sell baby parts on the market, no matter what pp calls it.

Why should some organs cost more than others? Based on the video it sounds like pretty much the same amount of work, but certain organs are worth more? 30 to 100 dollars? One organ can cost 3 times what another one costs? Does it seem like it is 3 times as difficult?

They're not talking about the price of organs. You'd have to be pretty untethered to reality to think that you could purchase organs for 30-100 dollars.

Records reveal that Nucatola was employed by a former White House staffer at the time that she was selling aborted baby fetus parts.

A staunch political advocate, Nucatola railed against the “right-wing” Bush administration. What’s more, she so enjoyed her work in the abortion industry that she touted a T-shirt celebrating a drug used in the practice.

Planned Parenthood’s Organ Harvesting Video Is Awful. But It’s Not the First Abortion Industry Outrage.


Yesterday, Americans were shocked to see a senior Planned Parenthood employee brag about how her company illegally harvests human organs and commits illegal abortions. Rightly, the American people are horrified at this violation of both the human person and the public trust.

Unfortunately, this kind of abuse is neither new, nor limited to Planned Parenthood. It is a world-wide, abortion-industry-wide practice that goes back to at least 1999.

In that year, the illegal and unethical harvesting of organs from unborn babies was reported in Canada. One year later, a Planned Parenthood clinic in Kansas was investigated for its part in an effort to profit from selling fetal tissues. The Kansas situation led to a “20/20″ investigation and a hearing by the House of Representatives’ Subcommittee on Health and Environment.

While the FBI found that particular clinic did not break any laws, the practice continued unabated both domestically and abroad. In 2006, a clinic in the Netherlands was found to be harvesting babies at 12 weeks’ gestation for beauty treatments for wealthy British women, while a clinic in Ukraine was doing the same for Russian women.

In 2010, pro-life groups raised the alarm about a University of Wisconsin’s late-term abortion program over concerns of medical experimentation, and in Ukraine prematurely born babies may have been sold for parts.

As awful and illegal as harvesting is — it is punishable by as many as 10 years in prison and a $500,000 fine — the Center for Medical Progress’ video shows that other illegal acts are committed by Planned Parenthood. Specifically, Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical services told undercover investigators that her company’s affiliates abort children who are literally leaving the womb.

In 2003, the heinous practice of late-term abortion was banned by Congress. Upheld in 2007 by the Supreme Court, conducting a late-term abortion is punishable by a $250,000 fine and two years in prison. Yet Dr. Deborah Nucatola told investigators that “Some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it’s not vertex [head first]. So, if you do it starting from the breech presentation [feet first]…often, the last step, you can evacuate an intact calvarium [the head] at the end.”

These actions are done after Nucatola’s “huddle at the beginning of the day” to discuss what fetal body parts customers want, and which unborn children can be used for harvesting. Abortions are then tailored so that profit is maximized.

Lawbreaking by Planned Parenthood is not limited to types of abortion and the harvesting of organs. Six years of undercover videos from Live Action have found that clinics have covered up statutory rape and illegally hidden that information from state authorities. Likewise, employees have ignored reporting requirements when people posing as pimps and trafficked women have asked for abortions.

Last year, officials in Oregon ended a program where aborted babies from Canada were used as a source of energy as abortionists shipped them to an incinerator in Oregon. These unborn children were qualified as “medical waste.”

Since the Center for Medical Progress released its video, tens of thousands of tweets have condemned Planned Parenthood. Members of Congress and presidential candidates are calling for an investigation into America’s largest abortion provider.

Such an investigation would highlight Planned Parenthood’s consistent practice of breaking laws related to organ harvesting, partial-birth abortions, sex trafficking victims, and abuse of minors. And it should lead to the immediate end of Planned Parenthood’s reliance on the public teat.

For years, pro-life activists have urged Congress to stop sending hundreds of millions of tax dollars to the coffers of Planned Parenthood. Thanks to the work of David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress, the pro-life majority in the House and Senate has no more excuses. Speaker Boehner nearly won this battle more than four years ago — he now has all the evidence he needs to finish the job.

These are legitimate questions that I would like to see answered, at this point, just to eliminate doubt that is being manufactured, as evidenced by the increasing hysteria displayed in the headlines being posted in an attempt to create a reality that doesn't exist.  Why are the questions coming from the House Energy and Commerce Committee though?
