The new YouTube Gaming platform should support Bitcoin. Twitch.tv already does.

This is how I feel but even if silver was accepted everywhere I rather spend my fiat and hoard my silver. I guess others want Bitcoin to be a first dual system commodity and true currency. The value of bitcoins is in it's property of being a currency. Without that bitcoin would be nothing. I think bitcoin adoption will move on. This will lead to a more stable price which will lead to more adoption in return.

going by logic, something else at which the support from visa and master can be negated would be a gambling site
gaming is also a good candidate, humble bundle already accept bitcoin if gog will follow chances that steam will accept it would be greater
it's always the same, everyone is only waiting for the other to accept bitcoin first and see how it goes, to save on possible risks

i am not sure if it is going to be the biggest , but if steam starts accepting bitcoin alongside of other payment methods it is going to be so huge. i am personally looking forward to this.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Hopefully. Amazon or eBay would be huge. Maybe Facebook or you tube will implement or accept it in some way too.

Maybe Facebook or you tube will implement or accept it in some way too. i doubt they will, ebay has stated without hesitation, that it will not accept bitcoin, and it is one of the reason why they splits with paypal amazon are not interested either , and with their huge volume how can 1MB limit sustain they TX per day? forget about those, the next big one that will accept bitcoin, is an our internal friend, Open Bazar, will make obsolete those merchants, if done right

The new YouTube Gaming platform should support Bitcoin. Twitch.tv already does. But Twitch.tv is not major company by itself, streaming platforms are for now a niche market. What is more interesting however is fact that Twitch is owned by... Amazon! That is right, there are some connection between these companies, Amazon may be monitoring bitcoin transaction of Twitch to decide if they want to support it further.

I never thought about that. You surely are right. Having amazon including bitcoin might mean there will be a problem instantly. Guess a fixed blocksize cant be the solution when we go for big adaption. We only would need a good reason for adoption and bitcoin would not show his best side when all the new users overload the miners.

Merchant adoption has been a fun gimmick but at this stage in the game it's a little bit of tinsel and not much more. It needs to be put to use by the folks who run the backrooms of finance. Once it reaches a point where a merchant would be deranged not to accept it is when its adoption will properly blossom.

I keep hoping to see Amazon jump on board but alas there has been no sign of that yet. Amazon is the biggest online marketplace in the world so if they were to integrate bitcoin into their payment system we'd be on a one way ticket to the moon.
I'd like to see ebay accept bitcoin as payment too, that'd be a big deal.

As a gamer, I would like to purchase my games using bitcoins because of its ease and speed. If Steam would integrate this kind of payment in their system, I'd definitely spend a ton of bitcoins in buying games and in-game items, especially in Dota 2, given that The International 5 is nearing.

Hopefully. Amazon or eBay would be huge. Maybe Facebook or you tube will implement or accept it in some way too. My guess is, ebay.com is on board with bitcoin, but when it goes up to corporate, it gets shut down, so it doesn't fuck with their PayPal business. I'll bet on Amazon being the first mammoth to accept bitcoin, they're just smart guys, and don't have a sunk cost in a legacy payment platform to worry about.

I wish steam accepted Bitcoin. I hate having to reach my credit card everytime I want to buy a game, because it prompts me to enter a code that i have in a plastic card. Its annoying. Gabe is just so stuck up with his decision to not accept bitcoin. What a fat moron.

Also been a huge supporter of Backpage and what they are doing. Amazing people running it and hope that more people continue to make the switch to them. P.S: Also hope that Steam will finally move with the times and accept Bitcoin
