So I want to backup and secure my wallet.  The wiki says I should find a wallet.dat file in Library/Application Support/Bitcoin.  But there is no Bitcoin folder in the Application Support folder.

Try navigate to your HD>Users>YourUserName>Library>Application Support>Bitcoin, and let us know if you find it.

I did not receive any private messages or instruction from anyone before, and when I first created those graphics, not even from SN.

BINGO.  Thanks.
