I posted about Solavei a few weeks ago back when it was in Prelaunch and got lots of negativity from the idea.. I definitely think some of it was justified.

Since then I have enrolled, got a sim card for my phone, and got a debit card.  I am member number 9000 something... probably 20k people have signed up since I have.

I'm very impressed so far actually.  I think its going to be the next google or facebook.

If you never saw the 6 minute intro here it is

http://1234g.info

And if you really want to see the plan for where this is going, watch the full 40 minute presentation by the CEO.  Very interesting.  (Cell phones are just the beginning)

I know nothing is exciting as bitcoin, but I try to look at trends in that "other world" too since it doesn't seem to be going away. lol

If interested in how much it costs to join.

Its $49 for the first month
$49 activation fee
$29 for the sim card (mostly cause they ship it overnight i guess)

$49 per month thereafter.

Interested in your thoughts and can answer questions.  Not interested in Pyramid Scheme accusations since its very far from it.

If you'd like to enroll you can do so from here http://solavei.com/mikemcd

P.S. Anything I earn from this will be invested right into bitcoins anyways so I see it as a win win.

So you have the plan with 1200 minutes? Solavei gives you unlimited minutes for $49 dollars.  Virgin gives you 2.5 gigs of data before they trottle you down.  Solavei gives you 4 gigabites of data before throttling.  Solavei  runs off the T mobile backbone and even T mobile can't afford to offer the deal that Solavei is giving.  T mobile is offering $50 unlimited 4G everything but only the first 100 megabites at 4g speeds lol.

If im wrong let me know but I've compared them all and it seems that Solavei does have the best prepaid no contract deal.  (mostly because they offer 4gigs of data)

My personal update after 2.5 months after launch.  Around 100k members in Solavei now.  I have about 360 in my network.

The company gives each member the option to buy sim cards and activate people on the spot.  Pretty bad ass.

I'm right about to hit the 1k a month level, not stopping.  Amazing company.
