He challenged critics of Tuesday's deal to present a better alternative - seen as a veiled reference to his Republican opponents in Congress.

The UN Security Council will vote next week on a resolution endorsing the agreement, Iran says.

In return for an end to sanctions, Iran will limit its nuclear activities.

The president has said there will be a robust debate with Congress.

Wow! I guess that when U.S. leftists totally refused to hold their Political Messiah responsible for his lies concerning Obamacare (If you like your current Health Care plan and M.D. then you can keep them) that he experienced this sense of anti-ethical freedom to the degree that he no longer worries about being caught out in any lie whatsoever. 99% of the world does NOT want this particular piece of crap nuclear deal with Iran!Hmmm . . . and so what to discuss about this? There is nothing to discuss in reality. The GOP leadership have repeatedly proved that they have the collective political spine of a worm and so after much blustering and threats they will ultimately sign off on Obama's obscenity of a 'deal' with Iran; an Iran that by the way is laughing at the United States over this deal.

So there is nothing to debate. It's effectively a done deal. I just wonder WHY leftists WANTED to do this sort of thing to the United States of America and to the West in general when they deliberately selected a first term U.S. senator with ZERO meaningful national level experience to become president and then put him into office again after he amply demonstrated that as president he is and shall always be a radical nation-hating Community Organizer. Why in the world were leftists DETERMINED to do THAT to this nation and to the West?

In the long run, the Anti-Americanism of the Democratic Party will come and go, and it won't be Americans who pay the high price for this Iranian Nuke deal.

If Israel isn't nuked out of existence by a series of Iranian Proxy Mushroom clouds by the end of the decade, I'll be highly surprised.

This mistake will be paid for in Jewish lives. I'd be angrier if it were not for the fact that American-Jews are largely responsible for the Obama-Radical-Wing gaining complete control over the Democratic Party. As it is, I'm just rather sad and dismayed....

All of the evidence for what Obama would do internationally were there long before he won the 2008 primary. Yet American Jews donated and supported him fully. WHY? It makes no sense at all?

I would agree that 99% of the world wants this deal to work, but that is not what he claims. I doubt that 99% of the world thinks that it will stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, which is what he is implying.

I never thought I would live to see a sitting President betray not only our country but put our allies into a corner where they need to pr-emptively attack or roll the dice and hope they aren't wiped out in a nuclear blast. Obama has found a great way to start a war and not be part of it. (except to supply the nukes)

You mean the people who understand Iran will use nuclear technology to make weapons?

99%? Another Obama made fantasy to support his own claims.

That, and claiming that all others are playing politics with this but he is not. Can you say BS?

99% of the country wanted Obamacare.

Which explains why Democrats kept control of Congress.

Wait, hold on

Look on the bright side....

When we grant the surviving Israeli Refugees asylum, in the process of trying to save their lives, we're going to learn a whole bunch about treating radiation sickness.

Get over it and stop using Israel as a decoy. Iran is as much against the US as Israel so wise up.

99% of the world want Iran stopped. To say they all like the deal is a lie on a par with "if you like your doctor you can keep him".

I know for sure the Persian Gulf states do not and are very nervous.

Oh please.. Bibi has been claiming Iran was six months from the bomb since 1995.. Don't you know when you are being drug around by the short hairs?

When Obama took office Bibi huffed and puffed that if Obama didn't deal with Iran, he would.. So he should shut up and do it.

Don't you remember before the war on Iraq when Bibi and Chalabi were crowing to the press that they would soon have a new oil pipeline from Kirkuk to Haifa? Bibi is a creep of the first order.

Truth to tell, I think that had Jimmy Carter had a second term he also would eventually have gotten around to doing something just about as dangerous to the United States and to the West. I don't know what that would have been but both men have amply demonstrated an innate ability to screw up anything in the name of leftist appeasement philosophy.

Perhaps they would have if Israel hadn't sabotaged a number of their nuclear facilities and taken out their scientists.

You constantly make the same tiresome repetitious points without ever once considering how Israel has stopped Iran before.

The nuclear deal will make the price of oil keep down, it will affect Russian's budget.
And the other way is to blow IS.

Where are the poling results to support your opinion? Thinking Obama is correct does not make him correct...as we have seen again & again. His exaggeration of 99% is insane, as I hope you would agree. There is no topic for discussion in politics where you could ever expect a 99% agreement locally, regionally, by country, and certainly not in the entire world.

So REAL Americans want another war and to fight Israel's battles....... Got it.

Really? re we to believe that we live in a binary world where two and only two choices exist? What foolishness is it to believe that we can allow the world's largest state sponsor of terror to obtain the most devastating weapons ever devised, and therefore those who oppose this are somehow predisposed to war? Look, if you want to war, that is pretty simple. You give the most extreme nations the most extreme weapons. It isn't conservatives who want to see nuclear missles flying throughout the Middle East, it is Barack Obama and his sycophants. Me? I would prefer no one has nuclear weapons and I especially do not want anyone who doesn't fear mutually assured destruction to have them.

So please spare me the ludicrous false-dichotomy that there are two and only two options. If you want trouble, then give a baby a blowtorch, but if you do, please do not pretend for even an instance that you aren't supporting chaos and death on a pretty horrific scale.

I will concede that there is a chance that the Iran deal won't result in a continental conflagration. It may be a pretty small chance. But why risk it? What did the United States get in return for their capitulation. And historically, what has been the result of appeasement to brutal dictators? This deal is a terrifying risk and I am just seeing no reward.

I know for sure the Persian Gulf states do not and are very nervous.

99% of the world? Or Israel, AIPAC supported members of Congress, and Saudi Arabia/allies?

The main goal of the deal is to stop Iran's ability to produce a nuclear weapon. Obama stated the majority of the international community agrees that Iran should have the ability to produce energy through peaceful nuclear means. The sanctions have served their purpose to this point and now the IAEA has access to key sites for inspection that were not available before. This deal has been proposed and supported by the Secretary of Energy, Dr. Ernest Moniz, who is a professor of Physics and Engineering Systems at MIT. He explicitly stated and is confident in the ability of the IAEA to be able to detect any evidence of nuclear weapon development.

This is the best diplomatic solution and anyone claiming otherwise hasn't presented anything besides tired talking points.
