im holding ~10btc in altcoins LOL I'm holding 100 btc in fiat. then you're losing your "btc" if you hold them in fiat, due to infaltion you lose something like 8% every years, not smart move where instead, with bitcoin you would gain something due to its deflationary nature(i'm not talking about supply infaltion...) that is already started since the beginning, we are rising by small cent every day as average

I'm personally gobsmacked at how many people don't own a bitcoin. Suppose it makes sense that there's so much desperate trolling and fudding around these boards. Especially considering some of the names in this thread I've encountered giving trading advice etc.
I have wondered about this myself. What would the forum look like if registration required signed msg from wallet containing 1 btc or more? Reasonable discussions again? Or ghost town? Woah, good idea man. Although people can just link blockchain addresses of one BTC or more. Or a site is so trusted that you send them 1 BTC then they instantly send it back...

Has anyone here ascended to the 21 club yet? I can't imagine how proud I will feel once that day arrives. It felt amazing until I reached my "1BTC" original goal, but I went for more. Now my next goal is owning 21 Bitcoins. This would be my super long term cold storage. Beyond 21 Bitcoins I plan to start spending often, to celebrate my success in trading. Im more than halfway there but I know I can make it with hard work dedication and luck.

Where do you trade? Ive had some good increases on OkCoin with the leverage, but it's risky.

21 btc is pocket change to myself and many others around here. As said earlier I think its really surprising how many people don't even own 1 coin.

Yes 21btc is pocket change. If you were here during the great mintpal alt coin pumps you could turn 1btc into 21btc in a matter of weeks. So yeah, trading forex btc and catching altcoin pumps has been a very profitable venture. Even if you didn't trade in any of that time, 21 btc at the beginning of 2013 would cost approx $2100. That's a months salary in any half decent job. Investing a months salary in something you believe isn't really that unbelievable is it ?

Yes I have more than 1 Bitcoin. With some dedication and hard work there are many opportunities to make some Bitcoins on this forum, trading on the exchanges

I'd trade it for bitcoins and hold that instead. I think bitcoin is the only coin with any long term future and alts tend to just lose value over time.

All depends whether or not you get out in profit. Sure, most alts trend to 0 but geting in early and getting out in profit is the name of the game.

One issue with alts though that people seem to look over is the liquidity. So sure, an alt can go up 10x like people say! But it only takes .8 BTC of selling to push it back to 1.5 x profit...

This is true and why you should always be selling on the way up rather than trying to dump your bag at the peak. However most alts that are being pumped tend to have a good 40-50btc of volume during the pumps to allow you to get out.

I have a little more than a full Bitcoin right this second. That probably isn't going to last, though. Expenses.
