We run an online market place for Android TV Boxes. We have recently began to accept bitcoin, however the purchases through this method have been minimal. Our wonder is, if bitcoin is truly being used as a currency or not. If so, what did you last purchase with your bitcoin?

The biggest problem is that 1) not a lot of people are spending their bitcoins yet and 2) not everybody who spends bitcoin needs Android TV Boxes If you were selling something in higher demand, the bitcoin sales would probably be higher. Does it cost anything to offer the option?

My last Bitcoin purchase was a Netflix account last week. Before that, it was a new PC which took place a little less than a month ago from newegg.com.

Yes of course, however - through analysing our traffic we can see the majority of users that have accessed the site through bitcoin talk still choose to checkout via debit or paypal. We are thinking that a lot of adopters of bitcoin would prefer to hold their coins as they have a lot of confidence in the currency being a 'gold mine'

my last purchase was a miners and some electronic stuff for my gaming rig, i think electronic things go very well in pairs with bitcoin
that's why dell and newegg were among the first big merchants to accept bitcoin
but as it was already pointed numerous times, many down want to spend because they are waiting for they price target, and then they will dump...
bitcoin is still viewed too much as an investment and less as a currency, this is the sad reality

If I've earned it then I'm usually more willing to spend it and if the option is there I always pay with it. My last purchase was a phone from Cex.

I pay my monthly Dish Satellite TV service via bitcoin. I don't think I've made any purchases more recently than my most recent Dish bill, but I may have.

I purchased something last week - Friday.
The slow volume on your end might be that people who use bitcoin don't know that you accept it OR you don't offer things that people who use bitcoin want to buy. The Android market is still small. I'd work on advertising your support of Bitcoin...place ads on this forum, the Reddit forums, others.

If so, what did you last purchase with your bitcoin? it will also depend on your promotions mathods how you are advertising your website and product and the product you are selling is not very coman and like other alot of sites you are also only shipping to us ? BTW this thread is also a nice part of the advertising of your site Last i exchange my bitcoins with fiat because in my courntly there are very limited places where i can spend bitcons so i more often exchange them to fiat and use it

If so, what did you last purchase with your bitcoin? i don't know if you can consider my buying as purchases with bitcoin but i mostly purchase altcoins as an alternative investment and just to make more bitcoin through trading . i am also looking for a trusted place which i can buy some steam related stuff with discount like game, in-game item, steam wallet fund,...

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Then you will have more buyers. As for the purchases with bitcoin naturally that will be few because bitcoin is yet a baby. There are limited people who use it. The last thing I have "bought" with bitcoins was "buying" dogecoin. And then again bitcoin. The reason why I don't spend my bitcoins? I believe that the value of 1 bitcoin will go much higher in the years to come. Let's see if this will happen.

I use it more as an investment than a payment option. Mainly because all of the merchants I use on the internet don't accept Bitcoin.

If so, what did you last purchase with your bitcoin? bitcoin is not yet the currency that is being used widely. i feel like that it is more like an investment rather than a currency or payment method. but this doesn't mean that it is not being used my many people for payment either. i think you should advertise your website on bitcoin related sites, for example you can create an announcement topic here in bitcointalk services section and place the link on your website too. this way your services will be seen by bitcoin users too and if any of them are using a similar service with cash, most probably they will be interested in your services with bitcoin.
