I bought a expensive gift for my daughter for her Birthday... I guess if the price triple or quadrupled... I would be the next pizza guy.  Huh

At least I spend it on a good cause, and the look on her face when she opened it was PRICELESS.  Grin

I also spend the odd Satoshi on coffee and lunch.. just to contribute to the Bitcoin economy and the coins in circulation. I will spend a lot more, if the price was $5000  Grin Grin

Just bought a service in fiverr. I want to buy physical goods, but Can't find a store or online store accepts bitcoin in my country, all of them accept bitcoin only for digital goods.

I usually just convert bitcoin to fiat to have spare money for my daily expenses. There is still not many places, services and shops that accept bitcoin in real world.
I normally buy games from Humble Bundle regularly and trade with people for their Steam items for bitcoins. Other than that I still hold.

Not sure you can get the answer whether it is being used as a currency from such a small amount of people. For me personally no I do not use it as a currency per say, I do buy things now and again but not much. I trade and invest with it and increase my holding in the hope that one day when I do decide/can use it as a proper currency I will have enough and the value will be what I'm happy with  Cool

We run an online market place for Android TV Boxes. We have recently began to accept bitcoin, however the purchases through this method have been minimal.

Our wonder is, if bitcoin is truly being used as a currency or not. If so, what did you last purchase with your bitcoin?

I think one of the most important things to consider is: Why do these people have BTC in the first place? Even though purchases are made through the currency, it doesn't mean that every single BTC user is looking to buy things with it. A lot of people are just holding for something better on the horizon. Like mentioned earlier, grab the market size for customers actually wanting to purchase an android box (me as a matter of fact, but just have to bring myself round to actually buy one) and cross-check that against customers who actually have an incentive to buy through BTC (as for me I would rather pay through credit/debit card because it is a much simpler route to get funds from A to B. BTC funds probably won't cover it unless buying more atm).

My last purchase was some alt-coins!

Hello everybody

Spent 0.5 btc on some altcoins few days ago.

If i could mine BTC, then i would spend it. It would be kinda stupid to buy btc and then use it for things you can buy with cash, preferably or more likely with less cash.  Shocked

In USA is BTC much more "popular" an therefore usable.

BTC FTW, literally  Cool

...

My last purchase w/ BTC was gold.

Buying gold with Bitcoin is like spending money and saving at the same time.

Buying Bitcoin with CA$H is like spending money and saving at the same time.

Buying gold with CA$H is like spending money and saving at the same time.

Circular logic?

*   *   *

I tell you all what I would REALLY LIKE to be able to do with BTC.  And that is to grow it!

I have read on other threads that most people are having bad luck investing BTC.  Whether loaning it, trading it (some claim to do fine trading BTC with alts), gambling, etc.
