Hello, I decided to give btc poker rooms a try, and I'm looking for decent poker rooms to play.
I've already searched to forum and saw room that have problem with their player base, and it's hard to find players to play aggainst, I already saw problems with rooms opening and then just closing etc

So I hope you could help and give some feedback on the rooms you trust and that have a decent player base, so I can give it a try.

Thank you!
(no video poker, or casino poker based games, I wanted normal poker rooms)

I will keep a list here, so this thread might be useful and easy to read for everyone.

I found some interesting place: bitsPoker is one of the fastest growing bitcoin poker rooms this year and has made a reputation for its high stakes tables.
On top of that, bitsPoker offers an unprecedented number of guaranteed tournaments that run daily with guaranteed prize pools starting from 1BTC.

¤ 5 types of daily tournaments, and 2 Heads up Sit & Go tourneys are now available.
¤ Tables vary from 0.1mBTC/0.2mBTC to 50mBTC/100BTC.
¤ Omaha Hi-Lo is now available.

Are you looking for the table action or freerolls? I recommend you to try luckyflop. There are alot of freerolls there and some player for the table game. The player base there is not very high like betcoin.ag so if you want a table games go to betcoin.ag instead

I like freerols so I can try the rooms, but I will probably deposit and I want the room to be stable, so it is important that there is good action at ring games, and available sit n go's and multi table tournaments. (I'm pretty sure there is no "poker stars" in the btc world yet, but I'm am looking for something stable that may present as a decent alternative to the big "normal" poker rooms)

Luckyflop will be the good choice for you. You can earn some points to use for their huge freerolls as well but the only problem is that there are only a little table player , not so crowded like betcoin.ag but I think it should be enough. Also there is a new promotions for table player there

I would recommend Betcoin.ag mostly , you can play WPN tourneys if you are a betcoin player
but honestly if you don't have a problem with verifying your account and if you are in a country where gambling online is allowed then don't play at btc sites
non of btc poker sites can make you totally happy with their services and usually there is a lack of players

Not needing to verify yourself is pretty much the best part about Bitcoin sites Tongue

Also, on topic, can anyone suggest any really really low stakes poker sites or ones with frequent freerolls?
I'm currently using pokershibes (dogecoin based) and converting BTC to doge as needed. The main reason is that there are tournaments with buyins of 0.1 mBTC equivalent in doge and rooms with 1/2 doge stakes (60 satoshis!)
Looking for a poker room where I can play for ages without risking anything.

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

I'm starting to have problems in my country. I believe that most of those sites will solve the problem, at least betfair will, or so I hope.
But although that might be a problem in the future, I still can play in some rooms, but I really wanted to have the option to play in btc poker rooms without conversions to $ etc, that's why I searching for them. Of course if I don't find an option with a good player base I will have to stay with the "normal" ones.

Aside from SWC, I've never found a poker client with a solid player base. Can anyone prove me wrong?

Honestly think we need to kill some of these smaller poker sites to pool the player field a bit more to grow.

Nitro is good but it lacks players.
Seals has a tendency for disconnects well you are in a hand.(Not sure if it has been fixed)

Would love to use betcoin but I seem to have issues getting on as a mac user.

No matter what, EVERYONE should play at SWC a bit. We all owe something to Micon, and to what he has been put through by the LV Casino oligopoly and the corrupted/owned government there. That raid on his home, with his young family present, was an offense to us all.

lol it was not intended to be a vote mechanism, I was just keeping track of the opinions. Did not try the poll because I did not know if you could make a pol with no option lol, and players would just add their option and their vote, and others would follow if they also wanted to vote on that one. If that is not possible, then a poll would be useless because I could not put any room to start with, because the point of this thread was for me to get some advice on the best poker rooms out there (and like I said I did not knew any, because I'm starting the "transition" to btc poker rooms).

I don't think you can create a poll with no starting options; but you can edit the poll later to include the suggestions provided in the thread (other users can't do that by themselves). So, you could have created a poll with a token entry at first, for example, and then fill in the remaining entries, as they are provided - still somewhat of a cumbersome method though, I suppose. Tongue

By the way, isn't Betcoin.ag repeated in the list?
