Ebay apparently doesn’t want anyone competing with its Paypal service as the website recently took down a merchant listing because the owner was willing to accept bitcoin.

Corporations like this, will fail eventually, because they stop listening to their customers.

We have already seen Alibaba services dominating the Chinese markets and also OpenBazaar growing bigger and bigger. The bigger companies like eBay and Amazon are losing market share from all sides,

because other services are rendering the service the customers are asking for. On eBay the price of items is already inflated with between 6% to %10 of it's acctual value, due to extra services that needs to

be paid. {Extra insurance fee's etc. etc.} ...Let them make these silly decisions... it will cost them in the long run.  Wink

jajaja those news just made me laught, we can always bet about when they will stop that actitude, because beleive me, they will stop, maybe they just dont check how others ( big companys ) are going or is already accepting bitcoins.

beleive me, soon or later they will accept it, is just a question of time and then they regret not having done it before.

IMHO #1.b of suspects, Hal Finney is/was S.N.

Not accepted as payment because of it's security lol, Paypal fair enough has some security but the whole chargeback thing is dangerous dangerous.  It won't be long before Ebay / Amazon / Google create their own Bitcoin spinoff.

I don't think it's ideology though I'm sure they're not huge fans anyway, it's practicality. Ebay believes that it stands and falls on protecting its buyers. They can't do that with BTC. Same reason they discourage bank transfers off the platform.
