Hi-

I have the latest version of Multibit running on my Macbook. Wanted to know how to generate a paper wallet. Does Multibit even have that capability?

Thanks

At the moment Multibit does not have a deterministic wallet so there is no support for paper wallets.

The most similar thing is to create some receiving addresses and then export the private keys to an encrypted backup file. You can then put the encrypted keys on a USB stick.

How To:
http://multibit.org/help_backupWalletUsingPrivateKeys.html

It is on my list of TODOs to support hierarchical deterministic wallets, but it will be a while yet.

+1 for supporting paper wallets in multibit...mandating a two day download seems ridiculous in this lightspeed network.  Please add paper wallet support!

Please add more BTC here (my son will apprecciate it when he's older): 14WsxbeRcgsSYZyNSRJqEAmB1MKAzHhsCT

Would exporting keys to a usb drive and making a printout of the encryption passcode be considered a poor man's paper wallet? By doing this, I could delete my coins/wallet from the client, then restore them using the backup exported keys.

And because that backup wouldn't be a deterministic wallet, I would need to back up again every time I made a transaction. Does this sound right?
