Yesterday afternoon Aston won 124 Bitcoins on a single bet. He wagered 3 BTC on an approximately 41:1 monkey maze tile which hit - that's the highest USD value jackpot in Dragon's Tale's nearly 5 year history, worth about $34,000. Previously we've had at least one $25,000 value jackpot, which was higher in numbers of Bitcoins (I think it was in the days of $12 Bitcoins. Jase, if you're still around, care to confirm?)

I'm hoping someone has videos of the subsequent after-parties - if so, please post here! I have never seen so many cigars, drinks, rounds of shots and festival boxes happen in one day.

Anyone care to try to break this new record??

I think parse-eval has the highest jackpot of 200 BTC? I used to play dt regularly, i stopped playing when herbing got removed.Used to gamble all the bitcoins gained from herbing. Wish Di could bring in herbing back heh

I just wish the game would pay out to me a little more than 5% of what I've deposited over the past 2 years.

OMG, congrats Aston!  It is always fun to see the jackpot winners, it makes me think I could be lucky sometime, even though I will never be.

I can understand wanting a video tape too just for sentimental reasons. But it's going to make me hate this game even more if the win & party are used a promotional stunts.

That kind of party NEVER HAPPENS. I've been playing this game for 2 years and I've NEVER won. Sure I've gotten maybe 10$ free at a party once or twice, but haven't seen any party like this ever, and I consider myself a regular player.

Or I was a regular player. until this because this just pushes me over my breaking point, especially when the Soldiers that Give out hardly any BTC (but still enough for like one or two small bets) don't even reset for me apparently.

fuuuuuuuuuuck this game.

Its really crazy that people are placing over 3 BTC bets on such low odds of winning. Some people must really be big millionaires.

I think on Primedice there was an 100 BTC winner recently.

I have heard of this ''game'' is there any max profit to it or you can just bet as much as you want and they would pay as much as they can? Im guessing that on a 41:1 game you cant bet more than 5 bitcoins or something long those lines, right?

I spent a bit of time playing Dragon's Tale a while ago and from what I remember, there are fixed amounts you can bet at. There are a number of casino style games. Each game is located several times across the game, and each region it is located in has a different betting range. You don't get to pick how much you bet, it gives you a list of betting amounts to choose from.

There's a maximum jackpot amount that varies as people play. Right now, Dragon's Tale can pay jackpots of up to ~600 BTC, and the game will only accept bets that have a theoretical max jackpot of whatever this number is. That could be a bet for 6 BTC that pays up to 100:1, or a bet for 100 Bitcoins that pays up to 6:1.

That is insane luck indeed. 41:1 chance of winning it is not that high as I would imagine when winning such great amount.

Why? Chances of winning are rather low. You would lose more than you could win most of the time. It would be good for house imo.

Man i would not suggest anyone to play DT. You'll never win there, you will regret playing there. (I'd played there for long time, take my advice!)
