Is it worth it to water cool mining rigs? What's the average rise in power consumption? I got a 100 dollar amazon gift card, so I'm considering getting an inexpensive cooler and trying it out.

the power consumption for water cooling is negligible. It's the cost for the equipment which makes a difference. budget for water cooling is usually between $400-$1000 per rig.

The main reason to water cool is to have a lower temperature at the chip at peak performance (and thus increase life time) and to reduce the noise level by increasing the surface for cooling.
