Canada’s Shifting Economic and Political Climate May Affect Bitcoin Exchanges’ Plans

The Bank of Canada has confirmed that, after two quarters of negative growth, the Canadian economy is technically in a recession although the bank would prefer to call it a “mild contraction.” The dollar is at a six-year low, mainly due to the falling price of oil and gas.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

well, first up...
the NDP wont win the next federal election, and even if they do, abolishing the senate will be a lot harder to pull off than they promise.

Apart from that, the NDP tends to take a progressive stance on all things related to business development. Cant think of a more progressive business development than bitcoin and block chain tech.

that said; they are all politicians, and they lie all the time, but for sure the next federal election here in Canada will be a real shake up. our present leadership is a shambles. almost everyone is dissatisfied.
