The UN Security Council has unanimously endorsed the nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers agreed last week.

The resolution, co-sponsored by all 15 members, authorises the lifting of sanctions in return for Iran curbing sensitive nuclear activities.

But it also provides a mechanism for UN sanctions to "snap back" if Iran fails to comply with its obligations.

No further action is required for 90 days, to give the US Congress time to consider whether to give its approval.

Obama, with both hands tied behind his back, head butts the GOP out of the ring.

UN Security Council has endorsed the Iran deal which now renders the decision of USA congress as irrelevant because trade with Iran is now permissible.

This will be a big boost for world trade, although USA is not likely to gain from the trade boost because of residual hostility of Iran to USA.

The big gain Obama received form this was to have the GOP-led Congress rendered impotent consequent to UNSC declaration.

Obama smashes GOP out of the ring again.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I do not know if this Iran thing is good or bad. But you are right about congress becoming irrelevant. It use not to be that way. But when what ever party holds the white house, members of that party in congress become members of the administration instead of congress. There was a time when congressmen respected their institution and would not let any administration take power from the congressional branch. Those days are long gone. Party loyalty has replaced institutional loyalty and respect.

Just so I have this right, Liberals are cheering the fact that a President is making treaty like decisions unilaterally without the U.S. Senate as ascribed by the U.S. Constitution?

Wow... that's pretty up.

If you'd ever read the Constitution, you'd know the Executive Branch has that power.

Wow.

You make a very pertinent point. Bill Clinton is gone into history, but, North Korea is in possession of nuclear weapons, and is toiling away at perfecting ballistic missiles that can deliver them precisely on target, anywhere in the world.

Long after Obama has gone off to deliver his own $300,000 speeches, his legacy will be there for all to see... an Iran with a crackpot theocracy in charge of their own nuclear weapons, and, missiles to deliver them. Oh, this will take about ten years or so to come to full fruition, but it will happen. This wretched "agreement" which gives the Iranians the ability to stall any inspection for over three weeks, and which guarantees them ballistic missiles, makes it a certainty.

With any luck, I'll be incoherent or dead before these insane Islamo-Nazi "religious" fanatics set off the war that destroys mankind for Islam... but, most of the rest of you won't be. So, raise a glass to this America-hating, dictatorial thing you've installed in the White House -- twice! Who says history doesn't repeat itself...? In 1939, the "West" had Neville Chamberlain... and in 2015, we had the Obama regime and John Kerry. Enjoy this sham that masquerades as our version of "peace for our time"....

You can thank the arrogance and ignorance of tea cons for that. Any congressman who thinks that compromise is treason immediately renders themself irrelevant to the political process.
There's a reason why congressional approval rates among the public are so low.

Europe wants to trade with Iran which will improve their economy thus, taking pressure off the U.S. economy thus, making Obama's exit better for him personally and politically. Iran already has the bomb. This is nothing but a dog and pony show.

True enough. When you consider compromise or negotiation akin to treason, blasphemy and death deserving sacrilege then you've pretty much removed yourself from the equation except as an obstacle to be dealt with in any way feasible. As in the ACA they did it to themselves. Obama didn't have to do a thing.

So is the congress and senate. A bunch of vitriolic rabble incapable of being led by rational leaders.
