In a July 20 interview, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange spoke about the resurgence of the platform, and the release of new evidence proving U.S. Secret Service surveillance of the German government on an unprecedented peacetime scale.

Despite the title, the article says very little about Bitcoin, mostly that it has been used to finance Wikileaks since the U.S.-sponsored banking embargo.

Yea, I find it strange that the Bitcoin community jump in whenever some service is being blocked by corporate entities or governments. It's the libertarian amoungst us and the Anarchists doing their thing.

We should provide alternatives, where people are blocked or freedom are in danger, but do we need to challenge authority on every controversial matter? Some of these causes have a very negative impact and

should be avoided. I guess it's in our nature to help, but we need to pick the fights we have the best chance to win.  Wink
