Bitcoin's killer application is to give a chance to the people of under developed countries to the ban services. What am I talking about?

Well there is more than 3 and a half billion people who don't have a bank account in the world and who don't live anywhere close to the bank. With a simple and cheap phone, with the Bitcoin miracles can be done.

I mean look at Mpesa in Kenya and the success of it. Bitcoin can be next Mpesa, just hundred times bigger!

Yeah, because it's easy to keep a BTCs safe in a mud hut shared by 20 in one room in Africa. Trezor?

Or for the unbanked in India living in on or next to a dump as in Dump Millionaire.... fighting for every piece of bread... keeping btcs safe will be a breeze...

NOT.....

We need ways to keep btcs safe.... easily... and safely....

Satoshi made the first major innovation... now someone needs to make it useful for the masses.

Give it time my friend, give it time. Can you remember the first computer? Now compare i5 with the current technology.

Bitcoin is still very young and time is needed to build trust and to develop and simplify this amazing tech.

All you need at the moment is a cheap android phine and you can already be your own bank. For some corners of the world this is still to much, but this will also simplify as time is passing.

It is so perplexing to me that people keep saying "we don't see Bitcoin's killer app yet." This is such a ridiculous statement.

Bitcoin's first killer app is money.

How many new ideas go from a market cap of zero to $4 B in 6 years?!?! Answer: extremely few. If Bitcoin were a startup itself, it would already be well beyond "Unicorn" status.

Of course, the additional applications of Bitcoin and the Blockchain are endless, but it's first killer app is clearly already here, and 4,000,000,000 cash US dollars agree with that.

Your spot on, bitcoin 1.0 is the most exciting thing in cryptocurrency, payments on the internet is the killer app and society is ready for it (unlike most bitcoin 2.0 ideas). I made a post about Ryan X Charles making this exact point on Lets Talk Bitcoin.

When hyperinflation starts in the US, nobody will give a fuck about the dollar, and even the Feds will migrate to bitcoin.
As an American, I'm somewhat worried that anyone with physical bitcoins and/or paper wallets may find themselves getting robbed at gunpoint by government agents when the shit really hits the fan.

When you see hyperinflation begin, get your btc into a brainwallet or similarly invisible form of wealth storage. This is the main reason I've used a brain wallet as primary storage all along.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

Tell that to those persons that are opposed to raising the block size and instead raising the minimum fee. The bitcoin they want would be for the rich.

I agree, bitcoin needs to be a chance for many that are forgotten by the current system.

Wait, some people think that rich people will be the ones that have the money?

Who are these people that keep saying "we don't see Bitcoin's killer app yet"?

I'm only hearing the opposite - and debates about the currency vs. investment role it should play.

Untapped market indeed. Have a family down the block about to lose their house. Why? They send most of the money home to the Philipines.
Ten people all making over $20 and struggling. That community all send as much as they can home. Tap into that and instant boost.

Although there are some billions of people in underdeveloped areas without access to Bitcoin, there are also billions of people in underdeveloped areas with access to Bitcoin. The effects have already taken place- people living in South America, India, Indonesia, etc., all enjoy wages far more than what they would typically earn in their countries just by participating on this forums. In my opinion, THAT is the "killer app" for Bitcoin.
