Just thought about decentralization in politics has quite a lot of opportunity in building a solid democracy without the leadership in the structure. But that has a lot of time for the idea to take off but the thing of decentralization in ecommerce has a scope in the near future.Kindly share your ideas.

I think we will see decentralisation happen in many aspects of life.

Once the general public get used to safely storing and using their own personal private keys, all sorts of things become possible.

Rapid direct democracy is one of them.

There are many potential uses for decentralisation. There are also many opportunities with hybrid systems too though and centralisation for certain things.

Decentralization will take over the world and most of it will run under the blockchain because it will be the most secure way to do so.

Decentralized voting through the internet is inevitable. Soon we'll be voting through the internet with perfectly automated and counting system of votes.

I do agree that Bitcoin may well be the most secure method. Being the first mover is a huge advantage.

Why would an entity go to the trouble of creating their own decentralised leger and take on the cost of securing it when there is a secure, global one being maintained already?

Rapid direct democracy

Other names for "Rapid direct democracy" are:

  • Mob Rule
  • Ochlocracy
  • Majoritarianism
  • Demagoguery

It typically doesn't lead to positive results.

I agree that this may not be a positive, depending on how it might be used.

Supermajoritarianism might be okay Cheesy
