According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

This is a wrong thread buddy. Move it to currency exchange for more visibility. Also it will be hard to find someone to trade for paypal since paypal is reversible up to 180 days.

Nevertheless you can try.

That would've been nice if the BTC Exchange platforms could offer their members to automatically purchase Bitcoins through PayPal. I wonder why they do not yet have that.

@op, i believe the people will ask for much more trading history from you before trusting you to send them paypal, even as a gift.
but if you want to try it out, you should check currency exchange section here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

That would've been nice if the BTC Exchange platforms could offer their members to automatically purchase Bitcoins through PayPal. I wonder why they do not yet have that.

It is not yet being done due to obvious reasons of reversability of paypal, so the exchange would probably have their hands full with reversal complaints.
However, i do believe it should be given as an option to ID verified and old trusted accounts that are highly unlikely to make any reversal claims.

I'm trying to buy bitcoin with paypal and keep hitting the" newbie" and " paypal reversal" walls.

The only way to trade with Paypal here is to have an excellent track record and not be a newbie.

You have no incentive not to scam, you account is worthless and you could easily scam and just make a new one.

Being a newbie and buying BTC you may have to go routes that cost a bit more time or money.

Cash in mail, WU/MG stuff like that.
