Bitcoiners are optimistic but they do not expect to become millionaires overnight anymore, says Coindesk Bitcoin Price Survey. They believe in slow but inexorable growth of bitcoin and hope for the ending to its volatility.
2,702 bitcoiners took part in the recent survey conducted by Coindesk. 54% expressed moderate optimism, believing that by the end of the year the price of one bitcoin will be between $300 and $500. Further 14% could be qualified as “moderate pessimists”. They believe the bitcoin price will stay between $200 and $300. These two groups account for 68% of those who took part in the survey.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

A year ago, I remember reading about a similar survey among the bitcoin users. Even then, the Bitcoiners were very optimistic. Now some of them have lost their patience, and as a result, they have sold all of their coins and moved on. About the remaining users, I am not sure what will happen to them. The chances are like 50/50.

While it is hard for enthusiasts not to be optimistic about the price, it is definitely not healthy for bitcoin if people expect it to moon overnight.

Slow and steady wins the race.

I don't believe this claim that Bitcoin will reach $500 by the end of the year. Maximal $300, if the economical uncertainty will stay alive.

Bitcoin was making bigger runs, so $500 isn't unreachable. Bitcoin might touch $500 by the end of the year, but then it should level off around healthy $400 and finish the year there.
Slow and controlled growth would be great.

I am optimistic about the long term prospects of bitcoin. It's worth no less than $700 in my mind. I will not be selling any bitcoin below that price. We are not going to get there by the end of then year.

There is demand for Bitcoins, but buyers aren't buying them from exchanges. I think they signed agreements to buy directly from miners and payment gateways like BitPay. Bitcoin price is unpredictable. We could have some very good news in the industry next month and we will be back above $500 by the end of the year.

I am not too fixated on the price, because I believe in the technology and I can see the growth. The VC investment in Bitcoin startup's are huge and new applications are being released regularly.

It's strange how this community works... When the price increase too fast.. people scream "Bubble" or "Volatility"!!!! but almost all of them want a high price.

A small bunch of believers see the bigger picture... Slow stable growth, is the best option, because it's good for speculators and it's good for merchants. Let's rather push for that goal, and all would be fine.  Wink

I think $500  is a nice taget for 2015. Not to fast but still a steady price increase, beginning with maybe hitting $300 again this summer.
