55T is not a lot, I have seen people rent 1P and not hit!!  You can rent from NiceHash or MiningRigRentals

Nice hit! Is ck's solo pool in the US or Europe?  I've never used NiceHash or MiningRigRentals. Which one is better?

ck has a pool here in the US and one in Germany.  As for rentals, I have heard good and bad about both.

well congrats.... I have 3 s3s (24/7) and a s5 (every couple days) pointed there. I woke up the other morning and saw in cgminer some one hit, so being excited I logged into everything and it wasnt me. It would have brightened my world, the past few months have been rough since my father died a day before my birthday. Maybe I will go check out the rentals, I could use some good vibes.

55T is not a lot, I have seen people rent 1P and not hit!!  You can rent from NiceHash or MiningRigRentals

well yes because it is for few hours i guess, and even with 1 peta you need 4 days on average to hit a block, then you have to factor the diff increase...

I've been renting like 2T for the last 14 days on Betarigs and no luck yet sadly.

On a side note: are there any other mining rig rental sites that you or someone else could recommend? Been having issues with deposits on Betarigs...

Everytime I chcek in on these threads and see another rental block hit I want to rent some hash so bad!! I just don't think I will be as lucky as history has it lol.  Maybe I will start off the new year flipping my miners to the solo pool, and throwing a little hash that way as well.  Congrats to all with success hitting blocks.

I was funny, I rented 1P three times for 24 hours each, got squat.  Then I rent 50T for 17 hours and hit a block.  That's why it called the BTC lottery!!!  A couple days ago someone hit a block on -ck's pool with 5T.  So I guess you never know!!

Holy cow, that's a great share and so close to being a block.  Close in difficulty to the current network diff, and close in time that it would have been a block had you got that share before March 18.  Well done!  My S3+ best share is only 44G.

Hey - I'm doing this too, a year later than you.

So here goes. For the next YEAR I'll be solo mininng with an old S3 (actually have already been for a couple of weeks) running about 418 - 450ghs (seasonally adjusted). As of today the best share is 1,816,484,083. Only 49,000,000,000 off! LOL!
