I have seen several posts on the forums about having to search and find some anonymous dev from some scam coin. It should not be that way. If people are going to invest hundreds of thousands in altcoins, they have the right to know exactly who the dev is.

So let's clean it up. I challenge each dev to publish (on this thread) links that show who they are and their experience. I will start.

I am the founder of ArtByte (formerly AppleByte) and have been public since day one. You can learn all about me, my business background, etc. and connect with me on my LinkedIn profile. Linkdin Profile for founder, Mike Cabaniss

Founding Dev of ArtByte, the crypto supporting the arts, started in NYC - May 1, 2014 ArtByte.me

Well I know who "expropriated" my 550 LTC.
796.com guys, they are incorporated and have address and phone number.
But can it really help me? Anybody from Hong Kong?
The story is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1132191.0

Mark Karpeles is known, but where is Mt.Gox?
Better unknown Satoshi and decentralized system really.

To make this post less offtopic: there are hackers, bad competitors, agents, mentally insane trolls, are you sure it is a good idea to disclosure developers' private info? If it may hurt them, it may hurt their currency and their customers.

Exchanges must be transparent! But not transparent only, fair also.
Currencies are transparent if they are open-source and not centralized.
If somebody invests so large amount of dollars like you said I think he will find a way to know who is dev, there are official threads, ANNs, PMs etc.
BTW AppleByte sounds better Smiley

If the other party doesn't have private keys that are relevant to your funds, then I don't see why having developers info is necessary. Don't hand your funds over to unknown entities, but otherwise you can trust in the open source nature of code and peer review as more important than someone's identity.
