and not one of them was registered by poloniex -

 So cation people - poloniex will lose your coins and then blaim you for doing it.

I've never had a problem with Poloniex, even tho I got all of my coins out the day before they got buttfucked by FinCen by requiring credentials to do withdraws and deposits. As soon as I know you can still withdraw any amount under 2500 USD and you can get away with it with a fake name. My advice would be, get the coins out and simply move to other exchange with less credentials needed to make operations.

Just tested a withdrawal and works fine for me.  Got a withdrawal confirmation email to confirm it before it sent the coins, just like normal.  Unless this is something where several people start reporting the same problem, it may just be your account that was hacked.

Also, if you tried to hide your ip and it still logged your actual ip, doesn't that mean they're recording the correct one?

But generally speaking, never keep more in an exchange than you can afford to lose.  There's very little recourse if something goes wrong.  Whether it turns out to be a compromised account, or the exchange itself, you're basically gambling with any funds you leave in an address where someone else has control of the keys.

That seems to be a hacker's address.
It is very possible that if your password for Poloniex was simple, that it was easily hacked.
If you did not receive the withdrawal confirmation email, it is possible that the hacker changed you email contact.
If you still have access to your account currently (hacker did not change your password), it is possible that it is really malware.

You should scan your computer for viruses and malware immediately.

Did you open a support ticket? If so, please advise what their explanation was?

i think this is an isolated case and probably only your fault, because in the troll box i can't spot none that is talking about the possibility that poloniex is compromised

usually their support is very good you can ask again if you really think that you're not simply infected, which in 99.99% of the cases it's the cause

I have always got a confirmation email from them.  I did stop using them because I figure it is only a matter of time before they up their registration requirements.  Sorry for your loss, is there any more to the story?

If he didn't get confirmation emails it's most likely that his account was hacked and email on file was changed to the hackers. He should check that (if he can still log in). I've never had a problem with Poloniex.

I don't see many people reporting issues with poloniex, although I can't vouch for them as I don't use them... You should check your security measures to see if you weren't hacked...

But imo. it's not acceptable that it's so easy to steal someone's money that it happens all the time. Theft is much much more rampant from people's wallet's in bitcoinland than theft from people's bankaccounts is FIAT-land. No matter the theoretical benefits of BC...this is a huuuuuge drawback of blockchain-based currencies.

Theft is much much more rampant from people's wallet's in bitcoinland than theft from people's bankaccounts is FIAT-land. I could not care less about someone taking money from my bank account. The bank will pay me back unless they can prove i was to blame for the theft.

Yeah. He also used that addy on HF. If you check out his posts on bitcointalk, they are all a few words.
Which is against the rules (must make substantive posts).
That account is probably a throw way that he will sell or scam with in the future. I suspect he was a bunch of those.

The person who lost their coins should place a hacker/thief trust rating on his trust, since it seems that is his BCT account.

So are there any other confirmations of this besides the OP?

I recently started trading on Poloniex after leaving BTC-e, so I am a bit leery seeing this type of post. I don't keep large amounts on exchanges, but was thinking about leaving some BTC on Poloniex and playing with their lending options. Any additional information would be most welcome in making my decision.
