It sounds like great competitive series for England to win.  Yes good performances you mentioned were difference makers. Adil Rashid bowling was crucial in restricting Ireland and taking key wickets which gave England batsmen manageable target to chase. And Jordan Cox amazing innings of 55 runs was backbone of that chase. To score that quickly and secure win for his team shows great skill and composure. Fact is that England won both completed matches shows their dominance and 2-0 series win is great result for team.

Unfortunately it will remain the same and i don't see any changes coming in regards to this policy and big reason is full nations are treated as royalty, especially top 8.

In a long term, Lot of problems will be solved if qualifier rounds becomes mandatory for everyone, for white ball only (because too much effort goes on test format and it's hard one). It can only happen if ICC is prepared for another 2007 kind of scenario.

A few things need to happen in order to reach there. First of all, test status and full member status should be decoupled. Also, full member status should not be permanent. We have Zimbabwe receiving close to $20 million per year from the ICC, performing much worse than associate nations such as Scotland and Namibia (who get around $250,000 per year from the ICC). Top-8 will give the excuse of packed calendar to avoid global qualifiers involving everyone. And again the ICC will consider their biased team ranking system to provide qualification to the full members.

India Vs Pakistan

So it is a big match today that is being played today in the Super Four stages. Pakistan batting first have made 171 runs. Sahibzada Farhan made the highest 58 runs but the good thing for them is that almost everyone played and contributed and therefore they got to this total. Now it is upto their bowlers to win this game for them.

On the other hand, the Indian team came back in the game by not allowing Pakistan to score more runs in the last 10 overs or so. Also, while batting they have made 43 runs and haven't lost any wickets. They are favorite to win this match.

Trinbago Knight Riders vs Guyana Amazon Warriors

Is there anyone here in this thread who familiar with this competition Carribean Premier League competition and today this competition was completed and final match was played among two tough competitor Trinbago Knight Riders squad and Guyana Amazon Warriors squad.

Guyana Amazon Warriors squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 130 scores after playing 20 overs inning with lost of 8 batter wickets. I had expected much better performance from Guyana Amazon Warriors squad but batters were displayed very bad performance. Saurabh Netravalkar played crucial in final match and he picked up 3 important wickets of Guyana Amazon Warriors squad. In start of inning, Alex Hales and Colin Munro played good inning and both collected 26 and 23 scores respectively.

In the past 5 to 6 years we saw no good batter from Pakistan team except Babar but now he is out of the team . Pakistan cricket board should know that they have no best player as comparison to babar because he did hard work for the years and he has excellent stats against good teams .Sri Lanka or Bangladesh cricket teams could play final against India because there are most of the chances of Pakistan team to be out in this tournament.

There are millions of cricket fans in the US, but almost all of them support the subcontinental teams such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka. Very few of them will spend money to watch the matches of USA. And the less we talk about the USACA, that better. For the last two decades, they have remained as the most corrupt national cricket body. But they never face any action from the ICC, due to the priority status.

Nepal has a population of 30 million people, who are cricket crazy. If Nepal is made a test nation, then ICC can expect a huge uptick in revenues from that country. On the other hand, promoting the United States to a test nation will not make any real change to the revenue inflows. US citizens of Indian origin will still support the Indian national team, when they play against USA. Unless the USACA find a way to spread cricket to the US natives (which they are not interested), there is no point in promoting them to test status.
