Or mostly so. I wish they would all take bitcoin. Today I needed to renew my subscription to Avast AV. I would have preferred to pay in bitcoin.

I agree.  I think that when amazon starts taking btc it will be a pivotal moment.  Right now I know of dell, microsoft, newegg, and purse.io (for amazon).  There might be others but those are the ones that I know of.

Be patient, I am sure it will happen!

wishing wont make it happen.. they are not psychic. how about tell them you prefer to pay by bitcoin, to show them there is a customer demand for it

the only thing you can do for now is, using services that will pay for you in bitcoin like all4btc, purse.io ecc, big merchants will not accept bitcoin(like amazon) untill major adoption will happen or until bitcoin is fixed, regarding the tx limit, not that they know about this issue but still...

I was really hyped when Dell started accepting Bitcoins and thought that quickly, other big companies will follow up. It didn't happen yet, sadly.

It's still early days for bitcoin in the grand scheme of things really. Maybe within 5-10 years most websites will accept bitcoins or it will be as common as seeing the paypal accepted here badge. I agree with franky above though that people should keep contacting retailers and advertising the benefits of using it over credit cards and paypal etc and maybe they'll listen eventually but its not going to happen over night.

give it more time and maybe they will consider adding BTC as a payment option. For now i think there are trsuted traders out there willing to help you out renew your subscription in exchange of BTC

This is key in the potential worldwide success of bitcoin. Amazon is the biggest online market place in the world bar none. You could literally stick another 0 on the current price within a week or two of Amazon integrating bitcoin into their payment systems I reckon.

Acceptance by Amazon would/will be HUGE.

Let me add "online shops which sell digital goods". It's much harder for Dell and Amazon, since they can't pay their suppliers with BTC. If there's a need for a conversion, accepting BTC as a payment instantly gets more difficult.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

Maybe we should start a campaign where each member contacts one company a month and demands bitcoin to be used at said sites. We need to group up to make these things work, almost like a dox(if I fully understand the term). Grin
