You got me there, I was repeating some bs I read around here.  It might have been that they offered tens of thousands for a struck coin that was never minted by Casascius.  I don't recall..

I would offer a few thousand for a peeled 1000 BTC coin.  Not sure about offering tens of thousands, but it wouldn't surprise me if one sold for that either.

Personally I never found them to be all that amazing looking. I prefer the 10BTC and 1BTC silvers looks better. If anyone has a 10 and wants to make a deal for a 25 let me know... (obviously not a 1:1 trade).

I know a lot of people dislike this coin for being the so called black sheep of casascius coins. I get it, but having it be so unique is what I kinda like about it. I still have long way to go till I get 26BTC, and hopefully it'll stay around that price when I get there.
