Dimecoin is the property of an Asian kiddie "posse" led by a loser that is nearly a windows application .. .exe .. Over and over again they fcuk with it to make money. You can't even connect to the pool. Look at the last 10 pages of the dimecoin community thread. The fucking coin was merged with quarkcoin, no attempt to keep the important things. Then there is the case of whether the coin sneakily got inflation added to it. Nobody knows. There is no dev. There are various source codes knocking around. It appears the same people turn up under different usernames on Twiter, bitcointalk, and do some talking.

We need a team to keep the show going and have identified some important roles. Team Darkest should, if they do their jobs, benefit. Additionaly, Joe Public will benefit because he gets coins for nothing from the premine, which matches dimecoin's exactly as a proportion (not 460 billion coins, just 9.5 billion maximum).

Nobody seems to relish SHA3 (yawns), Scrypt is not much fun, X11 (the solemn contender) has been done to death lately.There is a lot spare hash lying around, however, after the exordium of Asic miners got left behind by bitcoin’s massive difficulty chnges. So Darkest Dimecoin Dirty went traditional. She’s SHA256, and proud of it.

10% up, 10% down (dimecoin is 40% down, 10% up)
Halving at 500,000 blocks = 5,000 coins each block
Halving at 1,000,0000 (1 million) blocks = 2,500 coins each block
Halving at 1,500,000 (1.5 million) blocks = 1,250 coins each block

At block 1,590,00 (1.59 million) rewards cease, and miners are paid tx fees only + 10,000 dirtoshi (0.0001 dirtoshi a block).

In keeping with the ethos of dimecoin, we have also premined by 8% or 800,000,000 coins. This is to buy development work we want you dimecoin with and build a team. Also giveaways will be conducted via the site and with agreement, the official site (in principle there should be no problem)

Plus we mined 240 blocks to set up  a checkpoint server, which will go to the “giveaway”/About half of the premine will be handed out to strangers. If you want to promote a bit, you will get more than the average  punter. The shill factor is important.

Make some DIRT in your spare time doing something you like doing.

We want this to be a pleasurable experience. Spread the work around, and see where we get. Technical or social skills plus some spare time is all that is required.

Are you good at any of these?

– Social Media (if you run Twitter and Facebook, you get a good reward). There must be a lot of social interaction. If you run it well for a month, that would be in the region of 10 million DIRT. If you hook an exchange, big pool, or generate a community of followers, then we would go up to 20 million.

– Blockexplorer, not a BlockCrawler (Abe would be fine). An hour's work, 5 million DIRT. If you host, negotiate more for yourself

– Bot maker, not a tip bot, something different, maybe website bot, or an e-books. If you do an ebooks, not too cheeky, an hour's work at 5 million DIRT. Same as above about hosting. Plus, if you have a unique idea, more negotiating

– Coin Maintenance anyone wants to keep it in check, a 5 million retainer for keeping the checkpoints updated at git and another 10 million if you update the wallet to something pretty

– Mining Pools
1 dedicated pool. It can be hosted on your server, but should be separate from other pools you might run. It would need a simple Bootstrap to make it pretty. (maybe sorted already). I can give you a free template/bootstrap, which is rather nice. An hour or so to set up a wee Nomp, not sure on the bootstrap. 5 million DIRT is yours. If you maintain/host it, negotiate yourself a deal.

– Arranging larger pool to include DIRT 5 million DIRT (includes pools themselves volunteering)

– Games (might have a couple already sorted

– Maybe a Faucet

– Maybe a Mac Wallet. Straightforward compile, 5 million DIRT.

– Shill payments (these can be through giveaways)
They would consist of bitcointalk work, tweeting, supporting us on social media, being an advocate at exchanges. Very important. Are you a community builder? This ties in with the Twitter shiz above. It can be combined between a couple or more people. So potentially lucrative. 10 million ordinary shill who keeps this thread open, pro-shill should negotiate.
