FTR. Could have been just ineptitude but deleting the post suggests something to hide.

Does not reflect well on Yobit and Bittrex, apparently they will happily list any old rubbish.

This is a cynical and exploitative minimalist reworking of Diggits. The greedy little scrote behind this casual con doesn't even bother to make an effort, it's apparently so easy to reel in the punters.

Apologies to those who have already gambled and lost on this play, all I can suggest is that you deepen your research next time.

The con is revealed by a a misplaced source code file containing a unique marker, an edit failure made by the RubyCoin dev in omitting to correct a reference to ReddCoin:

case mBTC: return QString("mRDD");

The error has been preserved in blissful ignorance by a couple of clueless devs, allowing it to stand as mute evidence of a slapdash copynpasta effort giving the lie to any promises made in the ANN and, basically, giving the game away entirely.

Here's the github search string that reveals the half-dozen instances where the line of code appears:
https://github.com/search?q=case+mBTC%3A+return+QString%28%22mRDD%22%29%3B&type=Code

And here's the detailed evidence...

iBITS
https://github.com/ibitsteam/ibits-src/blob/master/src/bitcoinunits.cpp#L42
Code:
QString BitcoinUnits::name(int unit)
{
    switch(unit)
    {
    case BTC: return QString("iBIT");
    case mBTC: return QString("mRDD");                         <- CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
    case uBTC: return QString::fromUtf8("μiBIT");
    default: return QString("???");
    }
}

Diggits
https://github.com/DiggitsSquad/Diggits-Src/blob/master/src/bitcoinunits.cpp#L42
Code:
QString BitcoinUnits::name(int unit)
{
    switch(unit)
    {
    case BTC: return QString("DIGS");
    case mBTC: return QString("mRDD");                         <- CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
    case uBTC: return QString::fromUtf8("μDIGS");
    default: return QString("???");
    }
}

It makes a compelling argument to view the iBITS dev and the Diggits dev as one and the same person.

I am sorry for your loss.

Cheers

Graham

Basically these idiots buy the whole ico coins before even announcing the coin, then they pay for bittrex listing and start pumping with like no coins on the sell side before dumping! watch out!

Check this thread for scam proof:

Basically this scamcoin is only good for initial pump. If they're listed on trex, buy during the first day and dump after they pump it to crazy price. Don't look back after that.

Greetings.

I'm sure we all know and see that iBITS has been a roller-coaster ride so far, and yet it is still early days.
We are incredibly happy that our crowd-fund was sold out and we are making sure we put the money raised to good developmental use.

Just to note, we will not tolerate accusations of being in anyway affiliated with Crowdsale or other projects that happened on there. We've had this idea for quite a while, and we saw the perfect opportunity to raise the needed funds to make it happen on that platform. We could have chosen to go with Bittrex Crowdfund campaign, but we simply do not have the funds to spare, so we went with the lower initial cost option.

Thank you to all who purchased iBITS, we extend our thanks to you, because without you, this project cannot get off the ground.

Obviously our vision with iBITS is to create an internet registry and explore using the blockchain for more than just a store of value. Infact, we believe its value could be bolstered if it was seen not only as a currency but as a utility for proving the existence and uniqueness of digital assets. In this way, we function very much like a coloured coin.

We are going to be tackling the in-wallet Asset Manager first, and this will serve as the foundation for the attestation which will come after.
Here our first step is to get native hash digests of digital items and encode these through the OP_RETURN feature along with a marker for the ordered tree that we build.
By traversing this tree, we open up the possibility to search, and verify items encoded to this tree as well as timestamp.
What this means is that we'll be able to register and store proofs of digital assets directly on the blockchain.
Digital assets could be things like signed documents, be it pdfs, word docs, or even music.

Lastly, we're going to be running a contest shortly for all you designers out there. Stay tuned !

This thread doesn't allow open discussion. Guess it's a red flag.

You failed to address the main charge: “cynical and exploitative minimalist reworking”, feel free to have a shot.

(Being gratuitously offensive isn't the same as engaging in a discussion, the former is nowhere near as satisfying as you will eventually realise ... oh, and playground insults don't have quite the impact on adults as you seem to think.)

I checked also diggits code and it has entirely the same codebase and the same bug. Moreover, by my opinion this bug was embedded into code intentionally, because there is no reason to remove line with calculation nStakeReward for check unintentionally.

Perhaps now the dev will stop deleting my warning posts. But somehow I doubt it.
